Rod Laver is nomber 1. He won all 4 grand slams in one year twice, plus he was around when there were freakish players rather than 3 or 4 contending the title like now. He would have won a lot more grand slams if he was allowed to play in as many as he could have. (He wasn't because he turned pro and in those days only amateurs played)
federer single handedly changed and improved the game of Tennis, like no other era he is truly the greatest player of all time. All the legends, with respect, would not stand a chance in todays game, and Roger is still arguably the best at 30!!!!
If all the legends were in their prime playing at the same time, federer would still be miles above all of them. Its my opinion but your doesnt count because i'm right and if you don't agree it's something personal you have against Roger.
1.) FEDERER 2.) SABRAS 3.) BORG 4.) CONNORS 5.) MC ENROE 6.) LENDL 7.) BECKER 8.) NADAL 9.) WILANDER 10.) VILLAS FEDERER WILL NEVER BE OVERCOMED. HE WILL ALWAYS BE THE BEST. AS FOR DJOKOVIC, HE'S A JOKE. TOO ARROGANT AND A BIG FAT SHOWMAN.....JUST A TEMPORARY SUCCESS...... ROGER IS A REAL GOD.
I myself prefer today´s tennis, which is quite different from the 70ties. The late 80s & early 90ties were a transfer decade, therefor most people like the players of this era. You could see classical players like Mac & Jimbo playing vs modern powerplayers like Pete, Courier & Agassi, attackers like Goran & Richard vs Muster or Wilander, & very different personalities like Edberg vs Boris.
And of course the great IVAN who did most for changing tennis into a real professional, athletic sport.
Good job! I agree with most of those you selected and with the order you placed them. As a Stefan Edberg fan I would have liked to see him in the top 10, but I am biased...lol.
@aircraftluvr He deserves to be consideer top ten for sure. In my opinion, there´s a little, very little difference between him and Becker and Agassi. I just choose them, but anyway Edberg top ten would be a good choice
Really Good Top ten it was work with some conciense not like others i've seen before that don't put some of these stars and don't recognized their greatness
Just change Nadal with Djokovic and it will be perfect. Nadal is not even in top 100 what the hell
