@fuguetta2203 I think a lot of black metal sucks, but some of the original Norwegian bands (Mayhem, Emperor, Burzum, Immortal) and Bathory (Swedish) all released some great sounding and original music. Darkthrone are very "true" but they don't measure up to Emperor imo. The first couple of Emperor albums were "true" black metal with other elements, while Darkthrone are just "true," end of story.
