  • why mostly a mexican doo this kind of jobs????

  • nice job...!

  • This video is great! Thanks to my friend Pete for asking the questions that someone like me would ask if I were there with Javier and Ramone. Good Job.

  • nice and thats y it runns about 500 to 600 for a full top im all for vinyl tops looks bad ass

  • What, no padding?

  • @Moralvorstellung7 not on this job. this type lays straight on the hood.

  • After watching all the videos on this and seeing what the pros go through to do it, I'm glad I didn't try to install my vinyl top as a DYI project. Looks way too nerve wracking.

  • so this is best left to the pros huh pete and looking good too but why not cover them painted fenders in the back??won't they get overspray on them??

  • @blazerlover25 the pressure used to spray the glue and the thickness of the glue is so low that overspray in those areas is not a threat. Pete

  • They got that stretched out tighter than a G string on a fat lady....I'd rather look at the vinyl top tho...nice job.

  • @ziggassedup *kicks you for the horrifying vision you presented in this comment* now I will have nightmares of that sight stuck in my mind lol gee thanks j/k

  • @blazerlover25 ..Hehehe.

  • thanks pete..hope the new channel is working out ....best of luck to ya my friend

  • nice 1

  • Awesome watching them install this. always wanted to see this done, Thanks Pete

  • I never could see why anyone would cover a nice paint job with vinyl but i like learning bout it.

  • @MrBlueroads: Vinyl tops in their various iterations, whether (a) landau, (b) carriage, or (c) simple full or partially padded full-coverage treatments are historically correct design options; they hearken back to the cabriolet, convertible and sedan landau design elements of their antecedents, namely horse drawn carriages, and prior to that ancient eg. Roman palanquins: now do you GET IT. Most ill-informed vinyl top haters have no clue as to the design legacy that such automotive roofs convey.

  • @CarCriticAssessor i see the history behind it but i still dont want one.

  • very cool video set Pete. cant wait to se the rest of it. i have never seen a vinyl top put on before. the learning never stops!

love your comments while they are working.......its like your almost whispering so as not to disturb them. You can tell its a very important step by step procedure type of situation.

  • What kind of car is that?

  • @Nicko617 68 satellite turned gts i believe

  • @MrJsowa No this car is an authentic GTS, actually the Dart Body style would reflect on the GTS. I am doing a satellite and turning it into a roadrunner. Be watching for the upcoming videos. Or visit SWRNC on youtube and you can see it in latest videos uploaded. Pete

  • @diyautoschool ahh very sorry, are they both close in color? i got mixed up,so many cars your working on.keep it up though looks like the top is comin out great

  • @Nicko617 it's a dodge GTS basically a dart with emblems. Pete

  • never did like a vynal tope, but then again some people arnt a fan of Hot Rods

  • Great job they are doing, and Pete is doing a great job of capturing it on video and narrating the progress. Thumbs Up !!
