Where can I learn about how to do the jet glitches?

I can explain it to you. When holding up+down while jet boosting (you need to have running status), you fly diagonally upwards. You can enter ceilings from the side and be ~1 pixel inside them, enough to push you through the wall if you press up+down at this moment. You can't go through ceilings directly. You will upwards at hyperspeed when bumping against a wall while holding up+down. Using the jet like this all is TAS-only and will be very difficult to do on the real console.

Well... You can't press up and down at the same time on the console, anyway. At least with emulators you can use key combinations.

Anyway, still can't pull off the glitch. I can't get Kirby to fly upwards. Do I press up/down after releasing Y, or do I do it while holding Y? And for that matter, how long do I charge the boost?

you can do it with a unmodified controller, there's a video about it on youtube but I can't find it atm.

Either charge for 7 frames (hold Y, then release it) or run, jump and press Y. You can do it as long as you are performing this movement.

Hmmm... Nope, I run, jump, and press Y then press up and down at the same time, but Kirby still doesn't do the glitch.

do you try with an emulator or the console? With the emulator it might be the case that up+down/left+right isn't enabled. And doing it on the console is very difficult.

I forgot to mention, the jet and fire up+down glitches only work in the japanese version.

Yea but Jet is really glitchy it passes thru walls and other shit. If your a TAS u can learn to use it by going back if you screw up. So you can use jet and save time.
