@keyblok Even though it sounds weird, there is such a thing as a 5-string violin. It is a cross between a violin and a viola and has therefore the following strings: C G D A E. There are also 6 and 7 string electric violins these days ^_^ Hope it helped!
It's called a "five stringed violin". It's sort of like a violin with violin strings plus a C string so that it can also play like a viola. As a viola player, I naturally think they're pretty cool since they've got an E string of which I greatly envy when I'm forced to play in eighth position on A and all the violins in my group couldn't shift if their lives depended on it, at least I'm now ahead of the group since I can shift.
Basically, these instruments are rare but super cool!
