  • this plane is from 2012 movie

  • It's basically a 747 freighter on dianabol, creatine, and NOxplode

  • Every time this takes off I bet the pilot is thinking

"oh shit oh shit oh shit oh shit oh...thank fuck...."

  • Just to give you viewers an idea of how long the wingspan is, its nearly as big as a football field from tip to tip 290ft, 10 ft shy

  • Ukrainian Beast...extraordinary jet made by extraordinary avionic minds

  • 3:56 is not correct

  • B52 ? oh Common! B52 CANT be better than this

  • @ 4:19 Boeing is loading cargo into the Antonov... lol

  • give me a russian joke!

  • I'm so sick of stations like Discovery taking spectacular footage of exceptional marvels in engineering and broadcasting it with narration that's geared towards twelve year olds. If they are 12, and happen to watch the Discovery channel, they're able to comprehend the information, like how it's done of the Military Channel's "Wings". Particularly the "it seems to defy gravity" - here's an FYI: ALL PLANES DEFY GRAVITY.

  • Could you imagine if the 225 had six GE90 engines. =P

  • in soviet russia...the plane fly you!!! :)

  • its manufactured and designed by NATIONAL AEROSPACE UNIVERSITY-KHARKIV AVIATION INSTITUTE ,KHARKOV, ukraine..my university

  • @Nytherr

Jetfire/Jetstorm is based on an Antonov 225

  • @Nytherr It's Omega Supreme.

  • made in USSR !

  • @65165115 Ukraine to be exact

  • @65165115 Ukraine to be exact

  • @65165115 Only Russians are crazy enough to build something like THAT. :)

  • @Mantriur The US built something large lime that.

  • in soviet russia uhmmmm planes are fucked up size!!!

  • its russian,doesnt count...

  • Why don't they convert this into a passenger plane? Then, it would be the world's largest plane ever!

  • omg!!!!!!!!!!!!!

my comment is getting so many replys

don't stop tho, i like getting stuff in my inbox

  • All I know this plane was built in USSR.

The country which no longer exist, therefore it is RUSSIAN airplane.

Russia after USSR collapsed took all debts from all new courtiers from former USSR, and paid off all of them.

It is no arguments here anymore: this airplane is Russian one.

This plane was designed to carry on a top USSR shuttle "Energy" prototype if I'm correct.

Ukraine has the only one space shuttle: big pigeon bird on their back yard

  • It is always sooo funny to see how much butthurt delievers this plane to russians :D

  • Can you imagine IF that gigantic beast were to crash into the world trade center?

I bet its wings would split the tower into half without the plane being completely destroyed!!!

  • XD, imagine you waking up in your house inside this plane XD

  • fit it with bomb doors and bombs

  • anyone know how many the have now he sad only 1 but thath was then wenn the video was made ?!

  • @sjors91 still only one, was build to move the space shuttle.

  • @LfcGoddardENGCJG ahaaa ok thats wy

  • make moar!

  • In Soviet Russia, plane flies you.

  • i bet that fucker destroys so many runways

  • It could have taken out both of the twin towers by itself!

  • go to you tube search , for this full video mega structures

  • This is a Russian plane meant to carry a Russian space shuttle. The reason the plant was built in Ukraine is because of the Soviet military policy of diversifying production plants all over the country to make it difficult for enemy to destroy everything. Antonov himself was born near Moscow RUSSIA. So Ukranians fuck off.

  • @zx169 dude im not russian or ukrainian but this plane is owned and operated by a ukrainian company its code name was "cossack" which has to do with ukrainian history Antonov was a Doctor of Science, academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR Antonov ASTC the company he founded is in kiew then an-10 was code named "ukraine"

  • @geekforlifevandc

yeah but he was Russian and the government sent him to Ukraine,,, as part of the diversification program. This program was also designed to develop different parts of USSR. He was not Ukranian and was not sent sent there by his own will. If you look at history of Antonov, you will see that his first, experimental design bereau was in Russia. Yes cossacks are originally from the Ukraine REGION, just like the origins of Russia were on KIEVAN RUS, then moved to where it is now.

  • @zx169 Who cares wher Oleg Antonov was born? The Antonov company is Ukrainian.

    1. Мрія is Ukrainian for dream, not Russian

    2. On the tail, you will find the flag of , guess which country ... UKRAINE

  • @ivasenko48

I'm not so sure it had the Ukrainian flag before... Oh ok, who cares where its made then :) Designer is Russian, so who cares what land its manufactured on? Your argument is shit

  • @zx169

    1. The Mriya does have the Ukrainian flag on the left side of the twin tail (I've seen it myself)

    2. Oleh Antonov did not design the An-225 Mriya.

    3. Therefore, your argument is shit.

  • @ivasenko48

In the soviet times, it had the U.S.S.R flag, no he didn't but he created the plant. You were just lucky the GOVERNMENT chose to build this plant in Ukrain in attempt to modernize it and make it more active.

  • @zx169

    1. Of course it had a Soviet flag before, Ukraine was a part of the Soviet Union, but that is not a matter of consequence. It HAS the Ukrainian flag on it.

    2. We are discussing the Antonov An-225 Mriya, not the plant in which it was made.

    3. Therefore it is a UKRAINIAN jet.

  • Completely agree with BoBaMel! Russians fuck off from stuff that belongs to Ukraine. That is why every single Ukrainian patriot hates Russia, you are trying to wrip even the last bit of Ukrainian history to make your fucking contry big and powerfull, but your contry is shit!!! UKRAINE-FOREVER!

  • Russian trolls, stop lie. Ukraine and Russia are two different nations. Ukraine was a russian colony during 350 years and not politicians have broken USSR (Russia) that empire of evil. When it was happened, almost 100% ukrainians said YES in the referendum about separation of Russia in 1991, because all normal people want to be free

  • @Kyianyn Ukrainians were the original Russians who built Moscow. Kiev is 650 years older, then Moscow. And it was the Vikings coming down the Russian rivers who started the populations in Ukraine and/or Russia. Thats right, Russians and Ukrainians are the last of the Viking race, which died out in their own homeland.

  • @mender33 you mean Ukrainians or Russians are Vikings? hmm... very strange idea, never heard before

  • @Kyianyn It's hard to explain, but it's true. Vikings settled around Kiev, The name Russia comes from a scandinavian language, the word Rus meant Red, for the red beards of the people who lived there. Russians and Ukrainians arent exactly Viking descendants. but they have had a signifigant amount of their influence in their culuture and history

  • Look careful: 0.22 & 2.14 , 2.28 , 2.53 , 5.13 how many colors you see on the tail? Correct, two. What colors? Yes, blue and yellow. Which country's flag has blue/yellow colors? Ukraine, ofcourse. And which country's this plane is? Yes, Ukraine. And now one last question: russians, what is your problem?

  • Antonov in the best airplane in the world!!!!!!

  • @norbi33104 best in the world you cant tell.. but definitely the largest

  • @norbi33104 not! B-52 is!!!

  • @norbi33104 O maior!

  • @norbi33104 whut

  • Yanukovitch its a rusian prostitut, suck my dick evry body full people!!!!!

  • imagine if this was a passenger jet. how many people would it hold? i wonder...

  • i like how he pronounces boeing haha. boing!

  • @SergeiPeskov who is Yanukovitch? Fuck off him with your Medeved-Put

  • as seen in the movie 2012?

  • where's the rest of this video? someone post a link or otherwise upload the rest of it.

  • Ukrainians and Russian it is one nation. The western Ukraine was partially under the influence of the western Slavs, therefore there are some language differences.

  • @Vyun1969 Ukrainian nation is one, west or east ukrainians are the same ukrainians. But you, russian empire agressors want to separate us and to rule over us

  • @Vyun1969 Oleg Antonov - Russian. Experimental Design Bureau (OKB-153) was formed May 31, 1946 at the Novosibirsk aviation plant. In Russia. Appointed Chief Designer Oleg Konstantinovich Antonov. Aircraft Antaeus (AN-22), Ruslan (AN-124), Mriya (AN-225) - Soviet aircraft made by Russian engineers. Antonov factory moved from Novosibirsk to Kiev. Kiev - ancient Russian city. Independent Ukraine - this is a temporary phenomenon on the world map.

  • @Trainfanat what are you talking about? What is the difference who was which nation? If Igor Sicorsky was born In Kiev and started to build his airplanes in Kiev and then moved from Kiev to USA that means his helicopters are Ukrainian? Also you said Kiev, the capital of Ukraine, is russian city? You are sick, go to doctor

  • Ukraine and Russia is one people which have been broken off by politicians

  • @VFSALX Ukraine and Russia never were one people. Russia is an agressor which catches other countries and people

  • @VFSALX

ah nu da u vas esli ne s rosie to znachit nazist.... stydno dollno vyt...

    GO UKRAINE!

  • i bet the boeing company hates this plane lol

  • @mrcheekyface1 Why is Boeing jealous, it's selling a shitload of C17's to us and other countries. There is only one An-225 [ well there is a half of another one, but they abandoned working on it ]. Don't get me wrong, this is one modern marvel, of engineering. With more then three times the payload of the C-17. It is a million and a third pounds flying in the air. We even contracted it out, to help us send material to the Middle East.

  • @mrcheekyface1

    nice comment brother

true they hate it coz they jealos because they cant make anything like it

  • @mrcheekyface1 Boeing love Antonov aircraft, Volga-Dnepr had contracts with Boeing to ship outsize aircraft components to its Everett plant before the 747 LCF came along. Boeing may also be setting up an assembly plant to construct the Antonov 124 in the U.S if politics don't get in the way to much.

  • @mrcheekyface1 Things don't work that way in the higher echelons of industry. The peeps at Boeing admire and respect the design and ability of the plane, and the Russian engineers that built this incredible masterpiece.

On the elementary playground is where you find petty jealousy and envy, but amongst the captains of industry you'll find competition yes, but also admiration and respect where it is deserved, and the AN-225 & its creators have won universal admiration, respect, and acclaim.

  • The founder of factory of Antonov in Ukraine - Russian engineer Oleg Antonov. EDB (Experimental Design Bureau) of Antonov it has been constructed in USSR (Ukraine) under the decision of ministerial council of the USSR. All engineers, designers of this factory - Russian. Language is used Russian.. Ukrainians and Russian are the same people divided by politics tricks... Ancient capital of Russia - Kiev - capital of today's Ukraine.

Nazi pro-american trolls-provokers are rather funny...

  • This plane is godly!!! =D fuck the C17

  • @RamonSKYRacing Its Sovjets Plane !!!

  • @MIXAILziLVOVA Не надо пиздеть !! Вы его только " Отреставрировали " Сконструирован он был в СССР( можно сказать в России )чтобы БУРАН таскать.

  • LOL the 225 little brother....no so little

  • It isn't 'one of a kind'. They made two.

  • I would so want to be in one of those.

    Shame, it'll never happen....

  • you hijak one of these in the end of Battlefield Bad Company 2

  • You actually hijack a large version of the an-124 that Haggard calls the an-225. Perhaps Haggards wrong, or Dice doesn't want to put the actual plane for copyright purposes. Idk.

  • @DesertSaint9 actually it was the AN 124 Ruslan

  • I wonder why they don't build more of this.

  • They are being built, afaik

  • ..... When you will grow wiser?

Russian and Ukrainians were brothers, and from for

Bad politicians, have turned to MORONS!!!...The feeble-minded!!!

  • @krismoltisanti

Russians and Ukrainians ARE brothers. Never mind the politicians.

  • @SergeiPeskov who said that Ukrainians are brothers? Russians have kileed 10 millions ukrainian people by Holodomor in 1932-33. Fuck off that "brothers"

  • Yes! It also carries the Ukrainian flag on the wing tail!

  • no actully it's still russian no matter who owns the land. russia could fall off the plant but that plane would still be russian

  • 2:43 - 2:46 loll

  • HAHAHAHA!

Free the video at 3:04 and look in the sky above the plane, you will he a brown/black speck.

Play the video and keep your eyes on the speck!

  • @ostapslobodian

    FreeZ!!!

  • @ostapslobodian yea that could never be a bird or anything!

  • why ucraine? it's USSR.

  • if ur flying aacross the sky and see this thing. Better turn around. This thing is BEAST! lol. i would love to see it with my very own eyes!

  • It was at my local airport (KPIA) a few months ago. This thing is massive. I was over a mile away when I saw it and it was still huge lol

  • omg, i shook wheen i saw 2:34 because imagine if you really were standing on front of that monster O____O.........

  • Ukranians and Russians are "all most" the same people. A bit like macedonians and bulgarians - they just dont hate each other that much as we do.

  • It could lift more weight if it had 4X GE115B

    engines.

  • So would my mum.

  • Your mum needs a different type of turbine engine i.e. Turbo Shaft....LOL.

  • Hey this is in 2012

    It gets destroyed :(

They said in this video it's from Ukraine then they said it's Russian

  • @parthor1 it was an Antonov 124 in the movie. Looks similar.

  • diameter of the fuselage 63 ft?

  • i heard that they are building a 2nd one

  • WOW!!

  • Wow..that's a ginormous aircraft! Interesting documentary..too bad the ending's too abrupt.

  • It's Actually a Soviet Built jet, meaning that Ukraine and Russia developed the An-225 together thats why it has the Soviet?/Russian? and Ukraine Flag on it's tail.

  • german! black then red then gold german!

  • why is on the rudder the German flag?

  • It's the Ukrainian flag?!

  • 0.21 is Russian flag. Can't you see white, blue and red?
