well i thought of another card the Gtx 460m, i heard the GT 555m is delivering good graphics and have optimus technology to save battery time, but that card only got 128 bit interface memory bandwith tho.. and the gtx 560m 3 gb got 192 bit interface memory, i found some computers with the GT 555m but i just couldn't buy them because i knew they would lack the performance as other cards, i dont really care about the battery time.. so gtx 560 m is what im gonna buy ;)

Seriously why blow that much money into a gaming laptop. Go with a compaq notebook with a decent HD card and spend a fraction what you would here. $400 to $500 dollar price line compared to 1200.+ It may not play the game a max settings but they are still playable for less than 1/2 the amount here.

Lolz Sorry but you sound very ignorant when you made this review. The (speaker) on the bottom is not a speaker its a vent for the I7 processor as well as the nvidia 360m graphic card. The audio in this laptop was sub-par compared to what was being sold at that point in time. Great laptop Though, and it was an ok review.

to Add on to that The fake sub-woofer/vent is fake!! and there is a common mod that people do to it. They cut away the fake vent and put mesh over it, witch is causing the HDD, RAM, and Motherboard to heat up slightly because the fan intakes through the new hole and not where it should be. I strongly caution any one from cutting out the fake vent unless you are all ways going to run a cooling pad under it!!!!!

If you are doing games like WOW, then yeah that laptop will do, but if you want to play more intensive games like Crysis, then you might want to up the specs some more. To me, the two main parts to a gaming notebook is the CPU and GPU. I think the i5 will be okay, but if you can get a better GPU than the GT 330M, you should.

This laptop runs high-end games very well (WoW, Aion, Crysis, MW2) as well as games like TF2, CSS, and Bioshock 2, but Alienware's Area 51 desktop, which is only a tad bit more, runs these games even better. I understand if you need the portability of a laptop, but if you don't, you should totally try to buy either a newer model asus, which can give you better hardware at a cheaper price, or an Alienware. I would recommend a Mac, but they have no games.

I've had two Asus laptops already, one of them shitting out after not even a year (hardware) the other still working after a year. The main reason I'd choose the Alienware is the customer support. The other reason is, the price. It is a few hundred cheaper than the Asus, and has almost the same hardware specs as it.

I think it's unfair for people to judge this old model Which is now obviously cheaper now if refurbished. You would have to use the new g51jx-a1 model for comparison which is actually around 1500 at the date I'm posting this comment.

For $1799 you're better off getting the Alienware M15x, it has the same specs for the price and it's better build quality, better cooling, and the choice of keyboard/grill colors, but if you're staying at around $900-1200 then go with an Asus laptop, they have some good ones at BestBuy like the G60Jx, G73Jh($1199 version coming soon), or the X3 version of this.
