we were without power for 19 days no generators and none of that kerosene heater we stayed warm and fed and had a blast i loved it people should learn how to survive and it wouldnt be such a big deal get back to the basics of life and quit beang so dependent on material goods!!!
That's some good coverage.. wow.. I don't think I've even been to paducah since the ice storm. we still haven't even gotten our yard completely clear of all the limbs.
Didn't realize how bad it was up there to i saw your excellent video coverage. We had a similar situation in Jackson back in '74, but it was frozen rain with ice tags and icycles with tree limbs falling on power lines causing intermittent power outages. It was pretty in a way.
Lone Oak was crazy. I spent the night there after the first wave because I had lost power already. Lots of power lines and trees down. I didnt think I was going to make it back to West Paducah Tues afternoon.
I live in Oregon, was born in Kentucky. Have relatives in Paducah, Mayfield and Murray. I was worried about you Kentuckians with that horrible ice storm, no electric etc.
We get freezing rain out here in Oregon too. It's very hazardous. Thanks for the video.

Was some of this taken in Lone Oak?
I live in Vienna and we got snow on top
of our ice. I hope all of you guys get
power soon. Those were some scary days.
I'll never forget the sound of the trees falling.
