In 1812 it was line up a bunch of guys in a relatively even field and smash em to bits. With slightly future modified WW2 technology, the ways of war have changed. You got paratroopers, waves of tanks, aircraft, modern navies. In that way, an 1812 army could take Washington and the Chesepeak peninsula, a 1953 army could take the eastern seaboard.

Turning Point, a great game concept, problem was the development could, should of been better. And the storyline was inappropriate, for one, it should of been darker, for two, better planed. And 3rdly more time should of been spent on gameplay, bug testing, and programming, only the artwork is nice.

Was more to it then that, the British used ALOT of underhanded tactics behind the scenes to win the war also. They fooled the Nazi's into thinking they would land on D-day in another location due to counter intelligence and dummy operations. They also had a lot of secret agents and counter-intelligence operatives screwing with German communications and infrastructure.

the revolutionary war and the war of 1812 were very early in history. most of the battles in the civil war took place in the CSA (which, technically, wasn't our territory at that time). and we have never had a modern war on our soil (tanks, planes, boats, machine guns, assault rifles etc.) that's what i think he ment. and yes, nazis winning WW2 has been done several times, but never as a shooter to my knowledge. it was always an RTS or RPG type game (which i'm not that into).
The only reason why America got involved in WWII was because of Pearl Harbor, the day after the attack Congress passed the right to go to war with the Japs. The Japs and the Nazi's and the Italy were allies, so the the Nazi's declared war on America.
USA have supported Russia and UK with tanks and munitions, but if the Japan didnt' attack USA at Pearl Harbor probably they didn't declare war to Germany, Italy and Japan. Ok, they need to make a re-make of this now, i mean, the idea and concepts could be potentially huge, it is a compelling alternate-reality scenario, it was just executed very poorly, put it in the hands of a capable studio, say, EA or something, and it could be huge. Well, they have made very influential FPS' in the past, a list too long to put here, so i'll give you a few: The battlefield series,Black,James Bond series, left 4 dead, all the other medal of honors were awesome too. So, i am not saying them specifically, just a capable studio, which EA and its sub-studios are.
What would be even better would be if Infinity Ward or Treyarch re-made this game. The masterminds behind Call Of Duty would make this game a best seller for sure!

This game would be way better, if you played as a German soldier making the alternative history move, which has won the war for Germany. Its allways the same if I play a ww2 game, I play as Soviet or allied soldier versus the Germans or Japan, if I play a cold war game I play as allies versus the Soviets and in modern day games, I fight as an American versus the Chinese, Arabs or Russians. That's true, but that's still USA involvement. The USA and Soviets were no allies for quite a while, and in the early months of WW2 were on the brink of war with each other. USA won the war, but not through violence, but through support, as I said earlier.

2) The USA would be up against a very powerful superpower with no personal gain.
3) When the USA intervened, it was not to stop Hitler, it was because the war became personal due to Pearl Harbor. But the intervention increased pressure to save the British.
4) When the USSR became involved (they were more powerful than Germany) it appeared that Communism would take over Europe.

@methos173 The Soviet Union did not have the technology to survive such attacks until they were supplied by the British and Americans. Numbers don't mean shit if you don't have weapons to kill with. They didn't have any much AA or AT capabilities until they were supplied by the Americans and British. That is why the German Blitzkreig got so far, but once supplies and support started being shipped in the combination of firepower and numbers won.

@TheMandalorian1000 His point is that in recent history, we haven't. You can't compare 20th century to early 19th century society/warfare/technology. In 1812 it was line up a bunch of guys in a relatively even field and smash em to bits. With slightly future modified WW2 technology, the ways of war have changed. You got paratroopers, waves of tanks, aircraft, modern navies. In that way, an 1812 army could take Washington and the Chesepeak peninsula, a 1953 army could take the eastern seaboard.

The British were the predominant force in North Africa (El Alamein), Normandy, Sword, Gold beaches (a succesful landing unlike Omaha) also we were in Sicily and Italy. it's really scary to ask "What if...?" during WW2. if churchill did die after the accident in 1931 the RAF couldn't rally against the germans. also, germany's jet fighters would be properly produced and deployed.
i havent played this, but does this alternative history tell that the germans won at stalingrad before the winter of 1942? Did 1941 Pearl Harbor happen? I can't stand those hovering blimps. i know jet technology existed then, but that's ridiculous.

Even the big ones, the troop carriers are a big stretch LOL. But I chalk it up to it being a game. Besides until very recently we were the only ones with helium so these would have been flying gas bags waiting for a match. The only reason they worked in ww1 was that they flew to high to be hit by anything until better guns & planes

Turning Point, a great game concept, problem was the development could, should of been better. And the storyline was inappropriate, for one, it should of been darker, for two, better planed. And 3rdly more time should of been spent on gameplay, bug testing, and programming, only the artwork is nice.

Was more to it then that, the British used ALOT of underhanded tactics behind the scenes to win the war also. They fooled the Nazi's into thinking they would land on D-day in another location due to counter intelligence and dummy operations. They also had a lot of secret agents and counter-intelligence operatives screwing with German communications and infrastructure.

Honestly the only cool thing about this game was the weapons, everything else was never made sense, even if it was a alternative history, the planes and the weapons would of been correct, but Assault Zeppelins not to mention attacking America, please... an utter joke, they had a different plan for the US in mind anyway. the revolutionary war and the war of 1812 were very early in history. most of the battles in the civil war took place in the CSA (which, technically, wasn't our territory at that time). and we have never had a modern war on our soil (tanks, planes, boats, machine guns, assault rifles etc.) that's what i think he ment. and yes, nazis winning WW2 has been done several times, but never as a shooter to my knowledge. it was always an RTS or RPG type game (which i'm not that into).

The Russians and British did the most as you said, HOWEVER, they lacked the equipment too until the USA gave it to them. At the time Germany was numerically and technologically superior to their western and eastern enemies. This is why the Blitzkreig was so successful, they had the technology to overrun their enemies and the numbers, and they couldn't withstand the tanks.

They could not have won, as I said, they did not have Anti Tank equipment, until the USA gave it to them. Also, the RAF sent many fighters to the USA in WW2, and in turn these fighters were given to the British by the USA. Again, you underestimate the amount of support the USA sent to the other armies in WW2.

Liberate America with the tool of Nationalsocialism ... Thats a very interesting thought. NS was a pretty modern construct of ideas back in the 30s. And comparing to democracy (Which leads to stagnation because of the sheer mass of people using it) i think NS had a good chance to sustain position IF it wouldnt blast thoughts of concentration camps, atrocity, genocide, dictatorship and so on in our heads so it is considered as "bad".

I was incredibly disappointed, expecting a lot from this game.
I mean, when they tell you that Winston Churchill died from getting hit by a car I expected a cut scene or something, like a newspaper montage, but no. I get, "he survived, but what if he didn't".

Ok, they need to make a re-make of this now, i mean, the idea and concepts could be potentially huge, it is a compelling alternate-reality scenario, it was just executed very poorly, put it in the hands of a capable studio, say, EA or something, and it could be huge. I guess it's a case of good idea, poor execution, like the Alien vs Predator movies.

Well, they have made very influential FPS' in the past, a list too long to put here, so i'll give you a few: The battlefield series,Black,James Bond series, left 4 dead, all the other medal of honors were awesome too. So, i am not saying them specifically, just a capable studio, which EA and its sub-studios are.

This game would be way better, if you played as a German soldier making the alternative history move, which has won the war for Germany. Its allways the same if I play a ww2 game, I play as Soviet or allied soldier versus the Germans or Japan, if I play a cold war game I play as allies versus the Soviets and in modern day games, I fight as an American versus the Chinese, Arabs or Russians. This Sux (Talking about FPS games).

Ha ha that is too funny. If America had not joined the war in Europe Britain would have fallen, the Nazi war machine would have conquered all of western Europe. After that Hitler could concentrate on fighting on both the Soviet and African fronts. A war would drag on for years with the Soviet Union, but outnumbered, outmanned and outgunned the Soviet Union would eventually either surrender or be crushed by the combined Nazi army. After consolidating his power the events in FOL would be imminent

Who gave the Soviets the guns? Americans. Who was offering the man power on other fronts to stop Germany concentrating on the Eastern Front? The Western Allies. Without the power of the USA and their military, the Western AND Eastern Allies would've both fallen, and this would be imminent. Hitler was always planning this, he even wrote down in 1945 a fantasy he had of which what would happen if he were to have invaded the USA.

No not really. The USA did the majority. The Soviet Union would've fallen without the USA, as they lacked Anti Tank equipment, and the Germans had far more advanced tanks than Soviet Tanks at the time. Great Britain would've fallen to the Luftwaffe and Wehrwacht if it wasn't for the American supplies (most of Britain's armoury was outdated at the time, and they received vast numbers of American Small arms and aircraft.) The Soviets and British pulled the trigger, but they were American guns.

ok lets do it. usa give weapons to ussr not many but beter then nothing. who was fighting the war? russian generals not american generals. so who did most of the job? ussr and UK. who give support? USA. Did the american support help? Yes. would USSR and UK win the war without US support? YES!

The USSR received all their Anti-Tank equipment from the USA. Before that they were firing rifles at tanks, then the USA gave them bazookas. Without that they could never have lasted against the German Panzerkreig.
That's true, the Russians were fighting the war, but they were given the tools to do so by the USA. Without that they would've been overwhelmed by the German's advanced weapons. The UK again got their weapons from the USA. Without the USA's aircraft they would've lost to invasion.

That's true, but that's still USA involvement. The USA and Soviets were no allies for quite a while, and in the early months of WW2 were on the brink of war with each other. USA won the war, but not through violence, but through support, as I said earlier.

@TheHandgunhero The British saw off the Luftwaffe at the Battle of Britain and had the most powerful navy in Europe patrolling the waters.
The USA did a lot during WW2 but got a lot back from Europe over the next 50 years in monetary terms so lets not make it out to be a philanthropic gesture.
There wouldnt have been a war for the USA to get involved in if it wasnt for the British and Commonwealth resistance until 1942. Europe is grateful but the US should also be grateful to her allies.

But the USA didn't want to get involved with the war in reality so they probably shouldn't be grateful. The only reason they got involved was because of Pearl Harbor and that the Germans had been aiding the Japanese, so the Americans had no choice but to get involved in the Europe War with the constant Commonwealth and Communist pressure to do so.

Indeed, here's why:
1) USA Intervention began in 1941. Nazism did not commit any mass murder or war crimes until 1943.
2) The USA would be up against a very powerful superpower with no personal gain.
3) When the USA intervened, it was not to stop Hitler, it was because the war became personal due to Pearl Harbor. But the intervention increased pressure to save the British.
4) When the USSR became involved (they were more powerful than Germany) it appeared that Communism would take over Europe.

you know, the 20 million + people that died fighting the Germans. The Soviet Union spammed with troops. (thats an over simplification). Germany did not have the military to kill all those men.

@methos173 The Soviet Union did not have the technology to survive such attacks until they were supplied by the British and Americans. Numbers don't mean shit if you don't have weapons to kill with. They didn't have any much AA or AT capabilities until they were supplied by the Americans and British. That is why the German Blitzkreig got so far, but once supplies and support started being shipped in the combination of firepower and numbers won.

in 1944 ussr troops were presing germans out of warshava when us troops started the "d-day" so germany was alredy losing. so dont come here and say that usa saved the world. usa has never saved the world not in ww1 not in 1814 and not in ww2. all they do is start wars with small cuntreys like iraq, vietnam etc. to spred "democarcy"
