    its soo..... awsome and beautiful

  • the painting is by Leonora Carrington. An english/mexicana surrealist artist. She is also a writer of fantastic imagination.

  • @comesincolors I tought it was remedio varos, thanks !

  • @comesincolors I tought it was remedio varos, thanks !

  • Heart Warming

  • Gorgeous.

  • I love it!!!!!!!

  • Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed the similarities between Saint-Saens "le Cygne" and Rubenstein's "Kammenoi-Ostrow"? Not eactly the same but close enough to make one wonder if one composer's work inspired the other. Another case like this is between Tchaikovsky's "Waltz of the Flowers" and Ketelbey's "In a Monastery Garden". Just thought I'd point that out.

  • How do you not like the Carnival of The Animals?!

  • Do you know if it is written in Ternary Form? I know it's in G Major, but what key does it modulate to in the middle?

  • who are the paintings by? The painting are as awsome as the music, and each peice is well fitted to the music.

  • i cried through the whole thing :'') <3

  • I wish I could play it that good

  • My God! I've just a word: thanks.

  • I like the painting.

  • I like the art. :)

  • this song is so beguiling =) i always melt away while hearing that^^

  • In sweeney todd, they totally stole the opening notes in Johanna.

  • @shitbringer @Dodo251 sam se sramotite, oboje ste primitivni!

  • @wunderkind654 A ti si jako progresivan, jugonostalgični liberal. Ti si primitivan, ne ja.

  • @Dodo251 and @shitbringer :

    nerd fight!

  • @danaavu HAHAHAHAHA

  • "Dodo" & "shitbringer"...you couldn't have chosen better names to call yourselves on Youtube. How the Hell can you two carry on such a discussion under a video of Saint-Saens Le Cygne? Seems to me you're in the wrong place. People come here to chill and appreciate beautiful classical music. Phrases like "Blow me" just don't fit here. BTW, BOTH of you can BLOW ME...now get lost and let the rest of us discuss how beautiful this composition is.

  • @alternatehistories Ah shut the fuck up, who are you to tell me what to do? I have every right to listen to this music and argue if I have the reason. You don't have to read my replies to another moron, idiot.

  • @Dodo251

    God bless you =)

  • @Dodo251 You have one hell of a mouth on you...BUT...I get the impression that talking is not what it does best. Know what I mean?

  • This has to be the singular, most beautiful piece of music..

  • that is one of my favourite pieces with cello - thanks for sharing - and the painting is great (makes you search for the cygnus...did Leona Carrington call it *Swan* or even *Saint-Saens* ....or.......a mystery)

  • That painting looks disturbing.

  • ultimately beautiful!!!

  • I can feel the journey of the swan upon the lake is graceful and calm and a reflection of peace and tranquility.

  • I can play this and im 10 Piano is my thing for beautiful songs like these

  • @Sn1p3rKwT10 Well done you for playing this on your piano , keep it up !!

  • what a wonderful song...

  • I just arranged this for Woodwind Quintet, this piece is so beautiful

  • this is the most beautiful piece :) x

  • is this a clarinet or a cello?....

  • @TheDwayneA cello ;)

  • @TheDwayneA Cello. The clarinet is a wind instrument.

  • This piece will be played at my funeral, among others.

  • @glitterfishhx Awesome! i'd like to see the video to it if you have it.... I actually did a dance to Aquarium by this composer.(:

  • Bea-utifulllllllllll. This piece is in the ballet 'Swan Lake.' you can tell i'm a dancer... since i'm listening to all this beautiful classical music(:

  • @DancexLoverr Really? I thought that Tchaikovsky wrote Swan Lake?

  • @moodood1 Yes, Tchaikovsky did write Swan Lake. I don't think this was part of Swan Lake (but it's possible that I'm wrong), though I believe the style is very similar.

  • @DancexLoverr Isn't this from Carnival of the Animals by Saint Saens?

  • @sobefobik It is yes.

  • @DancexLoverr It's actually not in swan lake. The "dying swan" is not in the ballet Swan lake.

  • When I listen to classical musical it reminds me that God is watching.

  • @starsfury

you really need to be a quite a fascinating character.... have you went to a psycho-analyst before?

  • @shitbringer Idiote slovenski, kaže se: 'You really must be...' i 'Have you (recently) gone...'. Ne piše se psycho-analyst nego psychoanalyst. Kakva ti je to odvratna gramatika? Ni manire ti nisu ništa bolje. Tipičan neuki slovenac.

  • @Dodo251

Youre truly a Croatian... A know it all ignorant/nespot, which I can totally understand. Why? I too would be pissed if I would have my financial status in shambles and my list of achivements would come as a bad joke to most. Cheers to your economical blossoming as a nation! oh wait...

Its quite primitive to class people isnt it? To be sincere, I hope you will take a different approach to people here onwards. Fairly optimistic you might say?

  • @shitbringer Blow me and learn the basics of the English language you ignoramus. You 'too' would be pissed? What the hell does that mean? You would be drunk? I don't know how your small, uneducated mind works but I take it you meant 'pissed off'. And for your sentence structure, it makes no sense at all. 'I would be pissed off AS WELL.' is syntactically correct, you dolt. That's alright, I forgive you. It's not your fault you were born in one of the most stupid European countries.

  • @Dodo251 Hey u sholdn't talk 2 ppl like that, u think that "ignorant" is sumthing , but u dont know, i think ur a jerk and you stop talking 2 ppl like that

  • @rddl1990 You're illiterate and I can't understand one word you're saying.

  • @Dodo251 I am not "iliterate" fuck you

  • @rddl1990 Yes you are.

  • @Dodo251 Ya, well ur a dodo

  • @rddl1990 Ya, well, "illiterate" is spelled with two Ls.

  • @Dodo251 Hello, who is this? I left my Youtube account open, and my son (who is six) seems to have been posting on various videos. And, from the looks of it, he's been talking with you.

  • @Dodo251 hey u sholdnt talk 2 ppl like that, u think that "ignormus" is sumthing, but u don't know, u cant talk to ppl like that. ur probably not as smatrt as u think u r

  • absolutely... charming. completely spirited me away there. never heard the likes of something so beautiful before.

  • Asombroso! Me deja sin palabras...

  • one of the best song for violin

  • This is so beautiful, so serene and tranquil. It's simply lovely.

  • Playing this for class performance next week. :) On the clarinet~ So beautiful.

  • This is such a beautiful and peaceful song ! I'm playing it on the flute, and I just LOVE the sound it makes....

  • love it(:

im learning how to play it rright now:]

    its surprisingly hard...

  • lovely:)

  • Awesome song...........

  • So soothing, I love it! This is what classical music is all about.

  • What is the name of the art piece?

  • I'd like to know to who's the painter : Gustave Moreau ?

  • @violinlova It is called 'The Recital of Dreams' by Leonora Carrington, a Brittish surrealist woman painter.

  • @dudecs shes very talinted

  • @underfire987 Camille Saint-Saëns was a man hehe

  • I ♥ this music.

  • How can people call this a 'song' when there's obviously no lyrics? It's a piece, a composition, not a song.

  • didn't you ever hear of a "swan song?"

  • No, I haven't. I was referring to this particular tune which is most certainly not a song.

  • Dodo is right. The definition of a song is a "musical composition with words". Roughly.

  • this is on the Olympics 2010

    figure skating

  • Yes, the short program from Kavaguti/Smirniv from Russia, a lovely program.

Johnny Weir used it on 2006 SP too.

    Just beautiful piece!

  • I remember Torino 2006! The piece is about a swan that has been shot, if I'm not mistaken...

  • i love the song, it's so beautiful..

  • @YouMyRock Agreed..*sniff*...Lol jk but seriously, great melodyyyy :D

  • haha :'D -sniffs harder-

  • I cliked here because my name is in the title :P But i like the music too, of course!! xD

    Beautiful : )

  • Your name is Camille, isn't it?

  • yess :)

  • Don't care for my (I think) horrible english... I'm Italian!

  • OH MY GOSH I LOVE THE NAME CAMILLE!!

  • @aNimE732 I'm named after this guy. And I hate it! I love the music though.

  • omg i completely love your name!! Im gonna name my kid that!!

  • Lol, you do that. And teach your kid to listen to this music, too. xD

  • lol yeah!!! XD

  • this piece is as elegant as the animal its name comes from :)

  • thanks a lot for posting such a masterpieces!!

  • The incarnation of beauty itself.

  • The music of the nobility. Light-hearted and aesthetic palaces. The grey of foggy ski freshens the colors on the bright walls. Swans can be seen swimming acroos the narrow lake.

  • I remember hearing this exact version of The Swan back in high school on a cheap CD I bought. To this day it is the most beautiful ending of a song I've ever heard.

  • Camille Saint-Saëns - one of the greatest composers ever, and this is one of his real gems. Thanks for posting, and five stars..

  • I agree: 1rst Swan / 2nd Aquarium / 3rd Danse Macabre... Do you know Clair de Lune from Debussy? You might like it...

    TheAkelei

  • i love swans ... their so beautiful

  • i love it!!!!!

  • does anyone know where I can find the accompaniment for this song? ;)

  • ...

  • Sublime.

  • @mulimansheid: You know what, there are not stupid questions at all, just stupid answers :)

  • Very stupid question ofcourse, but what about the artists who play the music?

  • both, Leonora Carrintong and Remedios Varo, have a very similar style in the form of painting and in the images that they painted actually I had know that the two painters was close friends; by the way Remedios Varo is Spanish but she was exiled to mexico in time of the civil war in Spain and all the paintings she made was in México.

  • saint saens- best composer ever......

  • When I hear this song I allways think of Anna Pavlova who was the swan...

  • does anyone knwo where i can get the music sheet for this song?

It really is beautiful. It makes me think and feel of sadness and hope. (:
