You're right. The Peter Ustinov version is one of my favorite movies ever. However, this version is way closer to the book. The story in the theatrical version was way more exotic and glamorous.

This film pales in comparison to the Peter Ustinov version ! Even Suchet's gentlemanly manners and the art deco style can't save this dud !

I don't disagree. But Suchet is one of the best Poirots ever. To be honest, I prefer Sherlock Holmes! :)
