I hope you're placing the label "boring" on all of speedskating, not just inline. I do inline and short track, and while I love the ice simply because I'm a very technical skater, I would never go as far as to say one is more exciting than the other; however, given the more invasive presence of penalties for contact in short track and fewer skaters competing at once, I would say inline has the upper hand in sheer excitement.

Is there any news of this sport being included in the games? I couldn't believe that it wasn't already. I'm considering to start roller speed skating since it is more accessible to where i live relative to ice speed skating.

I agree, I believe if they added Roller Speed Skating into the Summer Olympics, it would be a huge deal. I would even work harder at it to compete in the games! Roller skating in our area kind of died out, but I think of the Olympic Games brought it up, it would spark it back up internationally,
