Think about what happended to family guy, it was cancelled and after the cancellation, the home video sales began to rise drastically and therefore was brought back on the air. spred the word and start buying the dvds and maybe disney will see a reason to bring the show back

I've seen every animated Spider-Man series, and believe this was overall the best so far. Amazing how they distilled so much of Spidey's history with note-perfect resonance in two seasons.

the fact that an "Ultimate Spider-Man"(which will be another "team-up cartoon," similar to Batman: Brave and the Bold; which sounds more like a Disney handled cartoon) cartoon is coming out is besides the point...soon after Disney acquired Marvel, the show was cancelled...so, yeah, they killed it...AND replaced it...good shows tend to die young(Sarah Connor Chronicles, also)...

This show was supported and started by sony, and then Disney took it interrupting it, that interruption let to them thinking it lost interest,, and the staff starting other stuff. whatever ultimate spider man they do isn't going to be ultimate spider-man because ultimate spider-man isn't even slightly appropriate, so its going to end up being all remixed anyway. Heck I've heard ultimate spider-man is dying anyway.

@kumiho92 Disney never took the show. Sony produced the show airing it on Toon Dinsey or Disney XD whatever the hell it's called. Disney never interrupted the show and it's nearly impossible to gauge who lost interest in it and who didn't especially when you live in the 21st century. When a show airs in Australia or the UK a few months before the USA, it's not hard to watch it. Staff working on multiple project is nothing new. It's easy to get someone into a studio to record lines.

Ultimate Spider-Man is appropriate for for the same age group as Spectacular. There was plenty of adult jokes that kids wouldn't get that were in Spectacular. I don't know what the hell he means by remixed and the comic is not dying, Peter Park did. Doesn't mean the cartoon needs to follow the comic.

@kumiho92 Wolverine & The X-Men was also renewed and then cancelled. If I were a betting man, between Avengers, Wolverine, X-men and Spider-Man now being owned by Marvel in the animation line, I wouldn't be surprised if they set up an animated Universe the same way they did with the movie verse.
