LMBAO!!!!! DAMN son!! This is one good video. I damn near when crazy around 0:43, when the bus went into second gear. I LOVE IT when a bus with the V-730 goes into second....it..it's just awesome.
And that sandnigga comment was funny as hell too...
Now I'm guessing that "LMBAO" means laughing my blk ass off am I rite??? lol just learning!!!! But I wanted to comment on the 0:43 part yeah I almost fell out as well, but I think I have a better one which took me back to my day camp days here in Jerzee like 1981 r u ready??? Go 2 "Seasshore Trolley & Bus Museum GMC Newlook model S8M-5303 #22 and listen to that first NOTHING is FU@#*&% with that!!!! Get back @ me
lol. at the beginning. that guy sounds like an asshole. then when he says "Man fuck you! Not me fuck you, FUCK YOU!" jeeze where is this, L.A? Anyways, Nice sounding Bus.
Nah, that aint no LA accent, that's a pure NY accent...and he's not an asshole, he's just one of my friends, we're all friends riding/driving this bus...
This would be a great video if there was not so much foul language in it. I like GM highway coaches, it a nice change from seeing GM transit buses, but I can not lissen to this video because of the foul language. Chould you send a clean video of you guys riding it this great bus? Thank You
If i could, I would, this was a one-time-only ride, this is like a WYHIWYG (like a WYSIWYG)...sorry. The other two videos have less "language," if you will...
This sounds more like an HT740, not a V730! It sounds just like the MC8's & 9's using the same powertrain. Some 4905's were for "commuter" service (with electrically controlled double doors and no bathroom), and these used the 730. NYC had these on lines such as Command and Liberty Lines. Those basically sounded like an RTS or Grumman transit bus with the same powertrain. (730's have the characteristic high pitched "whine"). This one is clearly an "over the road" type transmission!
I just researched our bus, since two of my friends own that bus, adn they have confirmed that it's a V730, NOT an HT transmission, this bus was a V-drive, not a T-drive...
Damn sounds like its got some top end power! I hear it roar and see it move! Wish my 6V92T was like that!

@cleanairbus Is this one of those buses that sound like one thing but is another?

To segravefan:
Academy Tours specified these with Allison V730 automatics when everyone else with decks had manual transmissions...

I've never seen a GM Deck-and-a half with an automatic transmission. Must be a dream to drive. Nice engine sound.
