thank you very much for your comment:I agree with you about the speed, I recorded this in hurry just as an experiment with the camera sticked in the bass, to se how it looks. Soon I will put in video the complete theme that I do with a great singer I'm working with, and of course in a more controled speed, keep visiting and posting! regards from mexico
wheres the groove? you got the muscles and the speed, now refine it. do it ten times slower to a metronome. will you go insane? maybe? will it sound amazing when you can nail it at 32 bpm and bring it up speed? ah yes! cool style, but keep your breaks in the groove. And don't feel you have to play everything at 200 bpm :P
ralphbluecoat you are spitting to the sun, if you would be a real musician (thing that is not shown in your stupid video)you should be clapping when you see a musician of this size and masterfull technique, is obvious that he can play in all speeds, but this piece was premeditatedly made in this form as real artistic pieces are made, that, it seems, you cant understand, but if you wants to receive some basic (cause advanced music cant get in your head) music lessons you can ask him anytime.
Did jaco pastorius learn Donna Lee right away by playing it fast? Did wynton Marsalis play "flight of the bumblebee" at the original Presto Tempo? ofcourse not! There is no mention of me saying anything Negative towards his playing, reread it, except for the fact that his Groove could better. I suppose you feel that slowing down a piece and speeding it up is not advanced, but everyone is entitled to their opinion,
There was a mistake in my comment.I meant to say that "except for the fact that his groove could be better, I only said really good things in his comment"
Perhaps you misread my last line wrong. I said you don't have to play everything at 200 BPM. Im sorry if you assumed that I disliked fast music or what you call "advanced music." I merely meant that musicians play many fast tempo allegro and presto piece and they forget contrasting lyrical pieces that sound good too.
you dont need to correct yourself, your definatley right. As one speed is not everything, to me this just doesn't sound good at all. I like speed when its used correctly, ya sure this guys pretty darn fast, but its very showy offy. *yes i realize that showy offy is not are not actual words*. I can't help but think in this video that hes just using speed to cover for his lack of notes.

Flea meets Bill Dickens, with a hint of Marcus. Not bad. Slow it down a bit and it would sound much better.
