  • hell yea. i dont think he was really trying, that or he had no turbo lol... my 6er will run...then again shes got an alcohol injcted blower, stage 3 heads and cams... but it aint the best thing on the road...far from it. however im selling my x charger extreme, and going with about a 76 MM turbo... should be intresting then. made 580 whp on a 76 mmin a 3.8 stroked to 4.3

  • @CynthiaJacquelyn oh no. there's no way a stock would perform well. i've had many mods done to mine. air intake replaced, throttle body, air housing, i have an x pattern duel exhaust, i have a custom tune by BAMA, and long piper headers. im in the process now of getting started on supercharge. but i agree stock is slow and limited.

  • Ok putting a GM 5.7L LS1 vs. a Ford 4.0L v6 and feeling "bad ass" for beating it is just stupid. I'll say right now gto's are a joke in the v8 world. Try racing a vette or a mustang cobra, get embarrassed, then post the vid. Btw that stang will rape any other v6 on its class. Trust me. I own one.

    Sorry but no, a 2005 GTO traps 109MPH stock.... that 4.0L would need a shortblock stressing amount of PSI to even break even with a lightly modded LS2 GTO. I have a 2006 and I roll with mustang guys, we have an X charged 2006 4.0L with about 5K worth of suspension work, full bolt on's, 12 PSI, skinnies up front and slicks in the back with a 3800 stall and he ran a one time BEST of 12.7 @ 106MPH on a 40F day... during the summer he runs low 13's all day @ around 102MPH

  • @CynthiaJacquelyn Turbo is completely different than SC in these cars, a SC is almost useless on a V6, because of the power lost to power it, the same car with a turbo with the same boost will put out better numbers. i'm not to big on the 4.0, i have a 3.8 2001, which is underpowered, but when i get to modding it i'm just buying a custom block so i dont have to deal with limiting myself

  • even the 04 gto came with 350 horses, a boosted v6 is at 300 horses if not that then close to it.

  • @blackjacksmitty this summer i ran a best of 12.08 @ 117 on streets with NT555R rears, still need to invest in better suspension and slicks lol, have yet to use the nitrous kit this summer, the tuners at livernois were worried about the zex kit and the powerhouse turbo would be too much for a stock bottom end, but optimistically it should put down just shy of 500whp on a 3500lbs car, with driver, dont have funds for a bottom end anymore :(

  • It REALLY didn't seem like he was racing, or racing very well. GTOs vs Mustang GT 4.6s are really even races, and a turbo v6 puts out more than a N/A GT and they're lighter...

  • I have a bone-stock v6 mustang, and, speaking purely from experience, that was not a race. That 'stang wasn't even accelerating. Nice try, though. I guess that's why GTOs no longer exist while Mustangs are still running strong.

Its a 4 Liter iron piece of shit! Now you throw a turbo on the 2011 Mustang V6, and thats another story....That race I'd actually give props to a stock LS1 for soundly beating! Keep in mind though a 06 GTO can keep up with a brand new SS or 5.0. Basically its like you beat up a retard in this video

Xcharger is probably one of the best brands out there for the supercharged v6 stangs and the new intercooled xchargers people running 13psi are still only getting 340-350hp to the wheels(not counting all the supporting mods), a gto makes more than that stock. i have a 2005 ls2 m6 gto. i have $100 in my pocket saying i smoke your stang.

  • @graborangemus and like i said. the intercooled xcharger running 13psi of boost still makes 330-350ish rwhp depending all the other mods you put into it. a gto is 355hp/365tq stock rwhp. f.i. vs.all motor? but the point of my comment was dude up there said he has "scraped on the gto's... at only 6 psi." i was calling bullshit. im not hating on the mustangs, my first car was a 2005 v6 5speed. im just stating numbers and facts from experience and research when i had my stang.

    oh Im not hating either , I almost purchased a 2004 Gto , and no I don't think 6 psi would b an ass whooping , but it would b a good race due to the lighter mustang . the gto is probably losing a little more then 45 hp at the wheels , id say more like 60 . most dyno charts I see for it puts it in the 330-345 range , but the gto has a much bigger platform with regards to performance , a couple of bolt ons and you got a rocket

  • @graborangemus i've never personally had mine dynoed, but every single "bone stock ls2 gto" dyno i've seen on youtube says 355hp/365tq to the wheels. STILL main point is saying 6psi v6 mustang wouldnt come anywhere close to a stock ls2 gto.

    its definitely losing at least 60 to the wheels , search gto forums . 15-20% loss to the wheels 60-80 horse power loss , so now your talking 320-340 horsepower range / 6#s will get you at least 300 on the mustang / now factor in the 346 extra pounds the gto is carrying , quarter mile times for gto is 13.4- 13.7 / 6#s 13.5- 13.9 that s kind of close

  • @graborangemus 6psi might get you 300 to the crank but not the wheels. i have done my research on it when i had my stang and xchargers which is the best v6 supercharger for the stang gives it 275ish to the wheels at 8-9psi (based on memory, too lazy to search it again) and 9 psi making 275 to the wheels is a little over 100rwhp gain. and i know for facts from research intercooled xchargers at 13.5 psi is giving to 340-350 to the wheels (read that on forums) at !13.5! psi. A LOOOT more than 6 psi

    ha ha ha yes its a centrifugal superchager , like a turbo but belt driven , it has a linear boost curve , the more rmps , the more boost it makes , im pushing 13 #s with a pretty safe tune , 11.8 a/f ratio . the x is more popular I think for ease of installation , sound , and look . but its pricey . the fastest x I know of is a 12.6 car , fastest Vortech is 11.0 , with out a built motor of coarse, there is a 2005 4.0 Vortech race car running 10's but lots done to it

  • no offense... but there is no way that mustang was actually racing.. i didn't hear a downshift. I did hear the turbo but it was obviously a rear mount and if he had downshifted you would have heard the whistle a LOT louder, and a V6 mustang turbo will run, at the very least, a 12.5 or faster, and a completely stock 05 gto will run a high 13 to maybe 13.5's... sorry facts speak for themselves.

  • @mattwhiteyanks1 lol... you obviously know nothing about cars... a well built turbo v6 can be well over 700 whp... a non built turbo v6 can be in the neighborhood of 400 whp... that is horsepower to the wheels... your 400 hp is horsepower to the crank, you'd be lucky to see 340 to the wheels, plus the fact that your gto weighs about 3800 lbs where as the v6 mustang weighs about 3400... a huge differance... and I have amazing speakers and I know what a downshift sounds like... watch my videos...

  • @mattwhiteyanks1 I wasn't saying that this one is a 700hp car, but you said a well built turbo v6 was 380 hp, I was just stateing that a well built V6 is capable of 700whp. this one is probably near 400whp, where as your car is 400 crank hp which is about 340whp, plus his car is lighter. don't get me wrong I think the 6.0L gto's are pretty cool cars, and built are amazing. but there is no way this guy was really racing and you pulled that hard. you might pull like that on a non turbo car though

  • @probercr93 he said he was around 320 HP. It was a Turbo car. He did try to race. Was it a great running car at the time, no. Obviously not. He's added a few things and increased boost since last run. Ill see if we can set up another run soon.

Yes I do expect a turbo to make that much of a differance... try this... look up "turbo v6 mustang" and you'll find plenty of dyno runs with pretty much all of them being over 400whp... and all that on the STOCK bottom end. I'm far from a ricer. I do own and race 2 turbocharged vehicles one of which being a mustang, however it is a V8... I am far from a kid... but nice try... please do your homework before commenting @ me... thanks

  • @probercr93 a turbo with hellaa boost to make 400rwhp with no forged internals? i know another guy went the same route and blew his motor within the first week. definitely should invest in forged internals to push tht much power from the v6

  • @cojakc not to mention the stock 7 inch rear end can safely withstand bout 300+ a lil rwhp, with the gt rear end and maybe some gears, youll pull harder and safely support more power with a lil peace of mind

  • @cojakc you're looking at around 13lbs of boost for around 400whp and of course you would want to build the bottom end for longevity... but I know of plenty of people making that kind of power for over 2 years on the stock bottom end... and tuning is a def. must.

  • @GTO19020 obviously you don't even know what a "ricer" is. Furthermore you don't want a big cam with a "blown" car, the overlap just allows the boost to go out the exhaust, so the cam in the v6 is just fine, you do not need an "intake" because that would come with the turbo kit. You do NOT need shorties the exhaust manifolds would flow just fine for a turbo car. Granted heads would make a differance, but you don't need them to make 400whp. And a "built" motor isn't what you just stated.

  • @GTO19020 Those are bolt ons, with the exception of maybe the heads... however a built motor is when you put take the motor apart and build the bottom end to take more power... but the 4.0 doesn't need that to achieve 400whp... I'm sorry my friend again you have failed to prove your point... and if you watch my videos I OWN a 2005 mustang GT turbocharged... when you get the knowhow and can afford any of this... then come talk... otherwise you're obviously out of your league...

  • @GTO19020 I love GTO's for performance, but I could never buy one...They look like bloated Cavaliers! Not a GM hater, in fact I owned a 95 TA and 02 Z28 before my 2011 V6 Mustang. I seem to be in the minority of people that like both Ford and GM...I just dislike Dodge, making overpriced cars that are slowed down by a ton of weight! But I can understand people not liking Ford before 2011....I wouldnt have touched a Mustang before now
