maybe i'm over looking a "simple' solution, but there's a reason why fallout 3 and Skyrim can't be multi player the way they are right now. there's a lot of things in the game which effect time duration. The shout that slows time, the favorites menu, and i'm sure other things. And fallout had vats and the pip boy.

@everseenone People were afraid that it would go the same way as Fable if they did that there was such opinion against it that they dropped it. Plus it would destroy the core of TES games because the world is so adaptable (especially with the area levels in Skyrim) that the game would either need to be simplified to allow multiplayer. They would need to remove most of your effects on the world.

@everseenone I actually don't know how that would work... That would mean that you would have to develop a system where you AND everyone else's internet would sync to whatever happened outside the world whenever your in a town. Also, there would probably be HEAVY phasing, i.e people are at certain parts of the main quest line. You also have to get your weapons or other items by pausing the game, as in the entire world of skyrim just stops. I think it would be a good idea, but it would take work.

@everseenone singleplayer is already buggy enough, can't IMAGINE what official multiplayer would do. Especially since it has to be designed for console first and then ported to PC. Instead of the mod building it for PC.
