@SweetAdeline57 He probably didn't see himself as amazing and I really don't think he grasped how much of an impact his music had/still has on people.

Also, it's probably best not to forget of his history. It's not as if the alleged suicide was out of the blue. Though I'm not sure if I'm convinced.

I was fourteen the first time i listened to elliott smith. I'm 20 now and he's still my favorite singer/songwriter. his music has been there for the good times and the bad times. he's the main reason i picked up guitar at fourteen. best decision of my life!

@Dcrfreeman i was 9 years old now im 11! haha elliott smith was amazing and his death is the most tragic out of any. him and krt cobain could have had wonderful lives if they nnever picked up drugs or comitte suicide. <3 elliot smith.

@MeigJens Uhm, this was released on vinyl? 1997 looks like a really bad time for vinyl: it was no longer massively produced, but it had not been long enough since it had been for people to miss it as much as we do now, and thus to make them want to pay extra cash for limited vinyl editions. Well, that's my opinion anyway. Or has it been released on vinyl ONLY LATER?

Meth's a fucked up drug, they're not fucking with you when they say you're hooked the 1st time you try it. You just want more and more and more, until there's no way to get more, you'll do anything to get it. Heroin/other opiates and meth are the worst drugs in addiction in my expieriences.
