@macknight88 Well, there's the obvious point that they're a whole octave off (give or take based on experience), and also the fact that the euphonium and baritone are different from each other, so if you play one you can't really talk about the qualities of the other.

@EmoJesusOfSuburbia look i play baritone and euphonium almost every day, im sure that this kid was in band and new a thing or two about instruments, so he would obviously know that its a different octave, i only gave him basics cuz i was confident he knew the rest. and they are very similar in how you play them, except for how you hold it, how much air you use, and how you position your lips there is not that much of a difference

@ShazibElahi I suggest transcribing it. That means listening to the notes, figuring out what they are, and writing them down. I do that for every cool thing I hear, it helps ALOT with stuff like finding pitch, and eventually you will be able to transcribe in your head. That takes a lot of time though.

@OldChikity Omigosh, no its not.. The baritone is more of a light instrument with a smaller bell size and smaller bore, where the the euphonium has a bigger bell size and bigger bore. Baritone is a common one used for marching band given its light weight but its not a "bad" version, it is simply smaller and lighter. In fact the more commen one used in marching band is the Marching baritone , which is basically a giant trumpet.
