  • i caught like a 7 pound goldfish today

  • @ATeamAnglers You caught it? A goldfish?!

  • @uzoouk yeah it was huge... i saw it swimming around a local pond and people were telling me how it was impossible to catch it and that they've been trying for months.

then on my first try i caught it with corn!

  • @ATeamAnglers :| Wow...thought you meant in the wild! That's funny ^^

  • @uzoouk i did catch it in the wild, i think some kid released his pet in there and it grew huge lol

  • Hopefully people that see this video will stop with the ridiculous notion that fish stop growing in comparison to their tank size. No, they keep growing!

  • @ollief9 she did just feed him though, it could be food. even if it is poo, you cant expect her to clean it every time he goes

  • @ollief9 really, i didnt see any green slime on the sides or anything, looked clean enough to me

  • I bet half you couldn't keep a fish for so long obviously it's happy if it wasn't it be swimming in a corner and wouldn't have lived so long if it wasn't well cared for

  • Nemos Cousin?

  • what a bloody dreary existence. There are many, many animals kept in substandard conditions that live for years and even grow to their full size but their existence is still miserable. My Goldfish are the size of her fin and the tank would be too small for them when they double in size. Ada is 83 but Ada is not stupid, surely she knows that this is not a happy life for Goldy.

  • That is one big goldfish!

  • I bet you any goldfish kept in a large pond would be bigger than this.

  • Let me guess........this fish suffers from type 2 diabetes?

  • It seems like all the giant goldfish live with old women who have just a little too much time on their hands (my grandma, for example).

  • Goldie? What a very unique name for a goldfish..........

  • I got my goldfish two years ago at the rodeo and he nearly quadrupled in size!! (maybe because he has a filter?)

  • cheese

  • cheese

  • cheese

  • cheese

  • cheese

  • cheese

  • cheese

  • cheese

  • tanks actually just about perfect for him/her.

  • haha remeber it forgets everything in 2 seconds .....

  • it is quite obviously cruel to keep an organism 'caged'. well done madam i like your style 5 stars

  • its funny how these goldfish won at carnivals and stuck in a no-frills tank live for ages and grow massive

  • its funny how these goldfish won at carnivals and stuck in a no-frills tank live for ages and grow massive

  • Oh, gawd. Poor Goldie. It really is surprising he's reached that size in that tank!

  • steriods

  • am i the only one but i see 41 on in white on that fish ahha

  • @Timyy22 I see it too, now that you mention it!

  • @guppygirl322 haha yeah , very strange

  • WJKTLSWDRKLRJHYDKLFJHSDKLRJYILHLDKFJHDKLRJYKLDSJNM<NH

  • "Marine biologists have been astounded by Goldie's size...". Really? I thought it was common knowledge that goldfish are closely related to carp and if kept in clean water and fed well that they will grow huge.

  • @phgHunter Maybe they are astounded by his size considering his living conditions?

  • GET A BIGGER TANK! YOU GO TO HELL! YOU GO TO HELL AND YOU DIE!

  • omg if there is one thing that i am terrified of it's big goldfish!!!

i'm not going to be able to sleep tonight...

  • very good, muy bonito goldfish y grande, ya quiisera one fish como this. this fish biggest, me encantan the goldfish, es mi especie favorit.

  • @ranchuboy7 uh no offense but that is A COMMON lok at the top fin! a comet has a higher elevation on one part a common is square shaped tail

  • that fish is sick.

  • wow big comet nice tail

  • Wow! Looks like dinner!

  • a comet can live 43 years

  • i only looked this up cuz i saw a huge orange fish in a pond by my house

  • i think older people really do have more experience when come to raising fish :D

  • well my comet weighs 0.6grams, soooo suckit!

  • looks like wierd messed up koi

  • OMG, this makes me laugh!

It is normal for goldfish to get to well over a foot long. Even 2 foot (24 inches) isn't that unusual! Goldfish also have a lifespan of 20-30 years . . .

You know why you've never seen goldfish like this? Because most people keep them in small tanks and bowls that end up KILLING them.

uzoouk . . . seriously. Do some research.

  • @Spyderling thats for common goldfish, that one there looks liek a fancy, they rarely get over 10 years

  • Actually, it's a comet. The kind you get at wal-mart for .28

  • @mattcookie Definitely not a fancy. Just a standard single tail, common or comet which ever you wanna call it.

  • @duskeva are you sure? its fins looks too flamboyant to be a common unless its corss bread /common/ fancy somehow..

  • i know me and my friends just caught 3 goldfish that big in a dAM NEAR MY HOUSE

  • I had one that was like 3 years old and he was like 7 or 8 inches long.

  • My goldfish weighs 70kilos and his name is mike. 8D

  • he looks like something my dog crapped out jk nice goldfish

  • pumped with steroids>:)

  • i wish i had one

  • beautiful

i hope my Pepe grows as big as that one *o*

  • holy shit hes big

  • wow! thats amazing i never knew they could get that big or even live that long

  • CATS!

  • Did he grow up in 100 gallon tank? i thought they needed big tanks to get that size, very impressive, i hope mine get that big, what do you feed them?

  • He looks happy!

  • Holy crap!

    He's lovely. :D

  • very small tank for such a big fish

  • @nightfairie86 he deserves a whole pond and maybe some little friends, or koi so that his friends would be more his size

  • thats one big fish. I hope mine does not get like that. he already outgrew a 30 gallon aquarium

  • got stunted then too small a tank during the early years

  • wow..!

thats the biggest GOLDFISH ive seen!

    15 years old?? 0_o

  • growth fail

  • nope i wasnt

  • checkout my first vid comet goldfish introduction

  • wat size gallon tank is that?but huge fish!!

  • I thought Koi were also considered as a kind of goldfish, and they're bigger than that...

  • yes and no. koi are more closely related to the carp u catch in the river. koi are kind of the dingoes of the fish world and goldfish are more like a domesticated dog especially the oddly shaped ones

  • yes, koi ARE "normal" carps with different colors, but they still are Cyprinus Carpio.

Goldfish = Carassius Auratus, so they are not like the carps you can catch in rivers.

They only are in family with them ;)

  • lol! how cute! my goldfish is 11yrs old now...big too and in my bath tub..so racoons won't eat him. his name is elvis!

    thank you for showing this..

  • @Passioneista you should make a video of it

  • @Passioneista You keep your goldfish in your bathtub? O_o

  • hahahah

  • if it had a bigger tank i bet it would have grown bigger

  • This is only a few inces over the size of an average goldfish. That tank is small.

  • My goldfish in my pond are longer than that...and her tank is tiny!

  • You'd think with the title "world biggest goldfish" he'd get a bigger friggin tank

  • OMG that is the biggest gold fish i've ever seen!

  • lol at the people who tumbed down me,obviously have no idea on fishes : )

  • wat the hell did that lady feed it

  • small children

  • small fat children

  • How long do goldfish live anyway? I see shes losing scales, is that like losing hair when you get old? She doesnt look good to me. Is she eating worms or what?

  • Goldfish average 10 years but can live up to 30 years, I think the oldest goldfish recorded is 36 years old and was won at a carnival.

  • She isn't losing scales; she is white and orange. :) The owner looks to be feeding her goldfish flakes. They can live decades, like 30 years and longer. The lady must maintain the tank with water changes very well, as old and large as this fish is; you would normally never keep a goldfish in such a small tank and expect this.

  • Mmm, when it dies it's gonna be a nice fest for the family, the crispy goldfish! Or, the goldfish of the day is... The fatty goldie! Don't worry I wasn't saying your goldfish is ugly or I want it to die, instead it's cute and fat, may be it can survive in cold weather???

  • goldie sure is a fat ass

  • looks good enought to eat, don't it? XD

  • kois are bigger, esp those jumbo japanese koi, they are as long as your arm
