  • This has become extravagant!

  • did he say chewing gum

  • omg.. so delicious

  • a famous bureaucrat? you mean Hermes Conrad?!

  • No. If Hermes had made it the recipe would have used ganja (weed) as a spice.

  • if my memory serves me right...truffles are found by pigs in france

  • Yep yep, pigs. But dogs are also used sometimes, and apparently flies also are attracted to truffles! So people take notice when they see flies hanging around the ground near trees. But I always imagine they might just find some wildboar crap or something.

  • That's being phased out, they're replacing the pigs wtih scenthounds because the pigs are somewhat notorious for eating what they find.

  • thats because the owners are not smacking the shit out of the pigs so they dont eat it.

  • The only thing that would get you is bitten by a pig. While i would laugh, you could possibly be dismembered. Now bears have an even more acute sense of smell than pigs and Blood Hounds combined. But, they are hard to domesticate. And by difficult i mean you'd sooner help the bear develop a taste for man flesh before you had a loving pet.

  • @belizeangial1970

yes,and research show truffles give off a smell same as female pig give off during mating!

  • I believe its the other way round, male boar smell thats why female swine are used

  • I love the original iron chef than iron chef america. I wonder if chairman kaga could put together all chinese chef to compete like shanghai chef Wakiya vs szechuan chef Chen.

  • that salt crust pork is simply amazing

  • Actually not all truffles are brown, infact, the are classified in Black truffles and White truffles, I haven't hear of brown ones. They are mushrooms that grow near a certain tree, under the soil and they can't be found by machines they are frequently found by specially trained dogs. They are rare and expensive.

  • they use pigs too.

  • im pretty sure a truffle was an old wooden ship used in civil war times

  • a classic quote from the most quoted movie ever. :)

  • i have had the pleasure of having truffles cooked with a simple pasta dish served in truffle oil and I have to say it was simply divine, if you have the means i suggest you try!

  • truffles are a luxury, many $100 per truffle

  • that in Japanese or in American?

  • a truffle is a fungus that tastes like mushrooms

  • what's a trufle? just a big chocolate?

  • A truffle is a variety of mushroom or fungus that grows underground. They are spherical and brown on the outside. The chocolates are named after them because they look similar.
