Very sad story. I am sorry for your loss. Due to the fact the local animal welfare brain trust has full adopted the Humane Society of the United States standard shelter protocols this will continue. I FEEL SO SORRY FOR THAT LADY, If something like that ever happened to my dog. I can only immagine all the horrible things I would do to the people that did this.

This place is horrible. I have been in there when they have tons of space available and still euthanize tons of animals. There is no excuse for killing animals when there is space to house them and you are taking donations to help animals.

Training, more training.  Are you kidding me? How do you train someone not to forget. He should have been fired. Check out the other articles on the internet regarding them. Lied Animal Shelter should loose their contract immediately. This is not the first case, the sad history goes back many years. Barbara did not loose a pet, she lost a family member.
