why is Dr. Paul not running as an independent??

How many independents have you heard, seen or read about in the debates? How many John and Jane Doe's would even know where to get information, learn, decide without benefit of hearing one on one, in debate, for apples to apples comparisons?

The republican party is a household name, with loads of coverage (in keeping with the lousy pre-set table of goodies) and in DEEP $HIT- it's broken, but it still gets coverage, it's broken but it has some good features.

It was a smart strategy- I think now though I would like to see him go on the constitution party ticket with Chuck Baldwin.

Me too :-( but... in hind sight it would appear that Dr. Paul believes his congressional situation is more viable and thus where most of his serious effort goes. Weighing the odds of actually getting elected on a third party presidential ticket against the loss of momentum in 'the constitutional awareness movement' by losing his seat in the house, etc... is heavy against the former.

This is a follow-up to my comment 3 days ago: it looks like they updated their page with Ron Paul's name but you should look at Chris Peden - he has $28,319,985 in his war chest for a HOUSE SEAT! They are really trying to get rid of Dr Paul! I'll post here again if I find out who his biggest contributors are.

The site has finally included Dr. Paul but put his presidential campaign fundraising figures rather than congressional- I gave to his congressional donation page.

I saw this video and sent a rather harsh email to the CRP. I just got a response:

"Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I assure you it's an unintentional omission, probably complicated by Rep. Paul's fundraising for president. Our complicated system of databases and Web programming may not be set up to accommodate candidates who are running for two offices at once. I have reported this to our IT department and will let you know when the problem is fixed."

I'm surprised but pleased.

It is a very nice reply and I pray for their sake its true. They have now been included in the class action law suit and if evidence shows to the contrary, ie deliberate they will be in serious trouble.

I'd wait to see if Dr Paul acknowledges an apology because if it was a mistake they owe him one. If we don't see the website change in 24 hours and Dr Paul doesn't acknowledge the apology, I say we should fry 'em.

I haven't contacted the official campaign yet. Although I've donated 100FRNs to it I'm really not terribly familiar with his congressional staff, campaign headquarters or anything.

I'd love to but there are 3 things in the way: 1 - I'm in Scotland and that makes if hard for me to litigate in the US; 2 - I have 2 jobs to hold down and that uses up a lot of my energy; and 3 - I haven't a scooby doo of an idea how to go about it. I'll just send 'em some money and email my affidavit and let them go to it; and 3 - my wife would kill me if I took anything else on... so would my doctor. But I can cheer folks on - and I DO. the Washington thing, yeah saw the original video, I would do it, but I live in a different country, it'll be interesting to see what happens though, we get no coverage over here either, as for the cost of the program, probably around $50-$100, I think you can get a 30 day trial for it, but I never pay for stuff I download anyway, if you get it via bit-torrent you'll almost certainly get a crack with it.
