@chooperXmane First, I going to assume that the problem that you are having to tackle is the same as mine. First the starter for the 771/2 thru 79 F250's is completely inadequate for use on any other engine than the one you pulled it from! If you did not pull this and this is the orig. engine then I would suggest you go to JEGS and get a high torque starter. See the issue I had was that I was trying to use a starter designed for a 175HP motor on one that puts out 375HP. 400 vs 460, SB vs BB!
@chooperXmane I didn't do this on purpose, this is the way the truck was set-up when I purchased it. Some research on the topic as well as 4 starters lead me to this conclusion!
I did not see the video to adjust the valves. So, please tell me how to adjust the valves to achieve better horsepower and mileage. Thank you very much.
@muppetcp2000 These are Interco Thornbirds 35x16.5x12.5 They are made by the same company that makes Super Swampers. They are a bias ply tire and are not very good for the street unless you can find a way to balance them.
once you get the pressure plate/flywheel out you can put a new ring gear on yourself with a torch. then go down to your local machine shop and have them re surface it
@fordbroncodave Yeah I know, but I believe the flywheel itself is burned and cracked and will require it to be change anyway. I smoked the clutched trying to pull a tree stump! Lots of smoke, thought it was the tires until I smelled it, quick fried to a crackly crunch! Of course I had to get a backhoe to take care of the job.
