Note well that you could put the most heinous tyrant's name in the place of Jerry Falwell and everything that Reed says in the 1st minutes would still apply. at the risk of invoking Godwin's law, Adolf Hitler was also very important political, religious and cultural figure, transformative, contrivercial, energizing. Should we honor his memory or consoling of his family?

The two most prominent instances are one in which Abramoff got Reed to work up a bunch of anti-gambling christian conservatives to protest the opening of a new casino that would have been a competitor for one of Abramoff's clients and Reed's usage of his base to come to the defense of the Mariana Islands sweatshops that forced many of their female workers
