Visited Disney in Orlando back in 2002, and I did not enjoy the park as much as I thought I would, but my ex-wife loved the park so it was worth the money to see her happy at the time.
@Nemesis093781 Your welcome mate...there are 2 parks in Japan. Right next to each other...the newer one Disney Sea was great, I really enjoyed it because the surrounding landscape looked so carefully planned & well designed. The other one was not as good, it was ok. But not as good as Disney Sea....Thanks for watching : )
@cloudstrifeification Awesome, I would have liked to go to a theme park like this when I was a kid. I had a great time as an adult, I can only imagine how stoked I would have been as a child...it was funny seeing mums & dads being pulled along by their kids or trying to keep up with them when they broke into an excited run : )
Hi Mick and Fumi. Enjoyed this video. The original Disneyland opened in 1955 in Anaheim, California. At the time I was in Huntington Beach High School and was a trombone player in the band. We were invited to march in the opening day parade. What a thrill that was for us all. That is where the tbone in my you tube name came from....... That was a long time ago, but it just seems like yesterday. Have a great day my friends....... Doug =)
@tbone1143 Yes somehow I was aware of the origins to your YT nic...but thats an awesome story about being involved in the original opening...cheers Doug : )
...at least the weahter got better ;) Don't like Disney Land that much...but I guess in Japan it is a lot better...because of the Japanese character it is more playful, haha!! I mean it has more heart! The train with the Micky Mouse head was fabulous :D
@chrismecking A few people have commented on the weather. It was actually just a very humid morning in Tokyo thats look cold & wet on camera. I'd always wanted to go to Disneyland since I was a kid. I So I was excited to finally be going haha. Both parks were pretty good, but Diseny Sea had a lot more heart & we had a great time...cheers Chris : )
@wickedlady4180 hahaha fun for young & old..you gotta admit though. A lot of Hollywood cartoons these days kinda do the same thing by sneaking in a few adult jokes that pass over kids heads : P
@ozzy78 Disney Sea is much better in my opinion. There's actually not much of Tokyo Disneyland. We spent about 8 hours at DisneySea & the fast passes were a 45 min wait. We spent about 4.5 hours at Disneyland & the fast passes were a 90 min wait. We could of stayed longer, but I opted to go back to the Shinkansen station in Tokyo with Fumi's mum to say goodbye. Disneyland doesn't encapsulate you in the whole Disney vibe, like Disney Sea does.
@Hatterific About $300 for 2 people which included. 2 all day passes for both Disney Sea & Disneyland (separate parks). One nights stay at Tokyo Bay Hilton with brekky & free rides on the Disney monorail.
@Hatterific Yeah its about $50 for the whole day & you can actually get a cheaper ticket if you go in the evening. Which isn't a bad idea, coz there's a lot less people. Popular ride fast passes were like 20mins by about 6pm last time we were there.
@mellowsky47 Tokyo Disneyland was probably very similar, actually not much footage of it on the end of this vid. Disney Sea immerses you in the Disney experience, I thought it was much better...cheers mate : )
@dumdidolabumbuladido Tokyo you stand on the left, so people can race down the right. Interestingly I found Kobe was the opposite...It looks like it was a rainy day in the morning, but it was actually just high humidity : )
@RoninDave Same mate, Disney Sea encapsulates you in the Disney scene, taking you on an adventure as you follow the paths. Plus yeah, gotta love being able to grab a beer...cheers Dave : )
Haahah!!! How much fun were you having chasing around a bird? It was all raining and crappy when you were on the train but I guess Disney has the power to make the sun come out for its visitors.. LOL!!! But those animatronic characters were freakin creepy...
What was that ride where you were in the dark most of the time? Now that looks like something I would like.
Room looked nice. How much that run ya? Wow, I like the dancing tarts at the end.. Way to go Disney!!! LOL!!!
@edtomorrow The bird was so cool. This tiny little thing is ducking & weaving between a constant stampede of giants to get to a few food crumbs lol.It looked like it was wet & rainy in the morning, but it was actually just very high humidity. Yeah the animatronic stuff reminded me of an old Simpsons episode.3 rides were really dark, 1st was Indiana Jones, which was awesome, 2nd Centre of the Earth, 3rd I forget. Room was part of a deal, 2 days Disney, monorail, brekky, about $300 for 2 people.
I would love to take my daughter to Tokyo Disneyland. I have promised to take her. Maybe next year. I have taken her to Disneyland, Paris which she really enjoyed.
Even that little roller-coaster is too much for me...LOL
@Theytoldmetodoit1 LOL promised to take her maybe next year, nice loophole for just in case mate ; )...She's a lucky girl to have already been to Disneyland, I wanted to go so badly when I was a kid. This was my first time...I love the roller coasters, its the ones that spin or go up & down quickly I have to avoid...cheers Steve : )
Man, in Korea it seemed that a lot of Koreans were infatuated with anything cutesy, I suspect it's similar in Japan (I know I'm generalizing). Disney must do really well in those countries!
@agentm83 Disney does do well in Japan, they love it. The young & old alike enjoy Disney, I had a great time. I remember dreaming of going to Disneyland when I was a kid & this was my first time : )
@MicknFumi My parents took me and my sister to Disneyland in California when we were young. It was their way of bribing us to put up with the road trip down the US west coast and into Baja, Mexico.
THANKS allot 4 share
