i worked in the gruene general store for the ladder half of my senior year and the summer before i went to college. i love that i got to grow up on the river, a small thirty second drive from gruene. the only negative is the massive amounts of people who crowd the crap out of our town.

Gruene is in New Braunfels City Limits but has become a tourist town "trap" . And it isn't just watching a pickup truck cruising down the street.

It has some cute shops, most of all the buildings are not the original ones. It is NOT resisting change as the motto says. It is changing daily.

Brings back memories. I used to live 5 minutes from there. Spent many days knocking cold ones down in there, and listening to great music.
