  • This is traditional clogging. In modern day clogging, you NEVER dance flat footed.. You always stay on the ball of your foot. But good job on your basic steps!(:

  • @mandashowlol - yes - more advanced modern clogging is more like tap dancing and on the ball of your foot - traditionally a Step is flatfooted, whereas a ball is up on your toe.

  • This is just my speed. Thank you.

  • in my clogging class, a push off is considered a burton stamp

  • Every region has some variations, in our area a Burton Stamp is a Double Toe Step, and three Stamps (no weight) much like a Hillbilly but with a flat foot

A pushoff is also known as a Chain or if you turn it a Rockaround or an Airplane if you use arms.

    Thanks for the comment!

  • Liked it! Thanks... was wondering what clogging was all about. (I realize this is bare bones basics)

  • Thank you for watching. yes this is bare bones "basics", pardon the pun, these are the steps I taught in the first 6 weeks of classes last fall. The Intermediate playlist has some more complicated steps listed.
