@Tac3r shitty, ccp has released 3 shitty unfinished expansions and ignored the game to work on its other two mmo projects. Also moving towards a direct MT economy, i.e. direct credit card to ships through ccp, gold ammo, pay for sec status and sp etc.

I guess its an easy way to earn more money, but it will leave its mark not only on balance and economy inside the game but also on the number of subscribers, as they take the game away from what it was when we started playing it.
Seeing this doesn't encourage me to start playing again, not at all.

the jove knew the amarr was going to attack, because they love to gather intel, and are eon's ahead of other races, and it wasnt a mother ship, it was dreadnought, that destroyed the fleet with weapons designed espeically for that battle, it was also at that time the minnie's rebelled so amarr couldn't get another fleet together to attack again as they wanted.

I noticed some design similarities between the Jove ships and the player-race ships...the SOCT cruiser has the Gallente front-heavy feel, while the Polaris frigate looked like a caldari ship with the bumps polished down. The Spectre has Amarr lines while the Phantom has Amarr lines with Gallente asymmetry. All-in-all, very cool looking ships.

About the small fleet defeating a large amarian fleet. That large fleet was an Amarrian Reclaming flottila, and it got destroyed by a jovian mothership + a small fleet.

You're a liar and an idiot. Ever since Dominion Titans have become a lot easier to die in, without a considerable support team and Reps along with sufficient subcap support a Titan called Primary can die within minutes. I doubt even an NPC in a Jovian titan could survive multiple Doomsdays.

@mikko522 As it is, only the Developers and GM's can fly Jove ships. To my knowledge, they really don't engage players with their God-like ships. There's constant rumors that Jovian ships will eventually be coming to the masses, but I kind of doubt it. Unless they make it so the ships are just LUDICROUSLY expensive (like you could buy and faction fit a Carrier for the price of a cruiser hull), or really tone down the ridiculous stats they have, they will be the definition of overpowered.
@AAgibsonAA Unless something is different with the Jovian ships, they are run by a single "Capsuleer" A.K.A. a single Jovian, that's why the strange designs don't matter. Even if they were run by crews, then they would be small or they would occupy only small parts of the ship. Also keep in mind these are massive ships, even the small ones are two to three times the length of a 747.
Just wondering, did they use user-generated design for this? Cause there's no way one design team can be so creative to design all these ships and many more

The song is called surplus of rare artifacts, from the eve jukebox. This however is the "new" version, and is much faster than the old version. I personally love the old version.
@geramul I managed to get my hands on the Unofficial EVE Online Soundtrack a couple years back, and it has about 30 tracks from in-game. And they're slower! I like the slower, more spaced-out versions.
The songs in-game now are all very fast. Some of them aren't even good anymore, they've sped them up so much!
There is a thing calld buddy program in EVE, which gives you 21 days of free play and one month free play for the guy who set you up with the buddyprogram.

@jmoseph767 only employees of CCP can fly these ships as the skills needed have recursive pre-requisites. I.E. Skill 1 requires Skill 2 to be trained but Skill 2 requires Skill 1 to be trained.

@Arcaneraven No, EVERY race in EVE are still human. None of them are "alien". They're all still descendants of the people of Earth. The only difference with the Jovians is they never got knocked back to the stone age like the other races when the EVE wormhole collapsed.
the artwork in this game is pretty cool. however the gameplay is very boring. i have never played a game i spent so much time doing the same thing over and over again just to increase the size of my ship and the number on my wallet tab. i still don't know what they were thinking when they made this game. it seems they expect people to care as much about their games as they do about their lives. because playing this game is far more stressful than living my life. and i live in England.
@TheScienceofnature This game's base mission (quest) mechanics are no different really than any other MMO. Fight, deliver, fetch, escort, and hybrids thereof. You increase your money to buy better eqipment to do stronger missions and take on stronger foes. Only in this game your skills train in real time. Which eliminates instant gratification, which is very good. Gets rid of all the whiners and kiddies most MMOs seem to be polluted with. Maybe you just don't like RPG's in general.
@LordKinoda i guess because the lack of environments and the similarities of the enemies you are fighting kinda takes the whole thrill out of the game. e.g. in WOW each mission has its own unique story behind it and the characters you are fighting are all unique. so each quest you go on tempts you to go on another one. but i also found WOW a little too time consuming so i didn't like that either. EVe has its own very realistic economy and politics, however this is only for some players.
@TheScienceofnature Lack of enviroments ? There's like 5000 star systems in this game. From my experience in MMO's, that vastly outweighs any other I can think of in terms of zones. There is plenty of variety in terms of stations, areas, gates, ships etc. I played WoW for about 2 years. It was fun, but not entirely unique as you suggest. I fought and killed TONS of the same enemies, OVER and OVER again in WoW as well. Far as time consuming, yep, all MMOs are like that. All the good ones anyway.
@LordKinoda all the zones are almost exactly the same. the backdrop occasionally changes from blue to red or yellow. am not saying WOW is a great game either. the culture of stormwind is very different from that of bootybay or ironforge because of that you are always encountering different story line and characters which make it more interesting. in EVE the pirates charge up their weapons and you follow the same procedure as you do for all the other missions. kill, salvage, warp in and out...etc

There are plenty of awesome games out there that don't take forever to complete, and "party" type games like Rock Band. I know some MMOs like to claim you get something out of the game no matter how much time you put in, but that's a huge lie. Time is always the deciding factor on how powerful you are in an MMO. Always.

Even if they were run by crews, then they would be small or they would occupy only small parts of the ship. Also keep in mind these are massive ships, even the small ones are two to three times the length of a 747.

@Hewkll yeah they have but one design team, only one ship in all of eve will be player designed, and thats not been decided yet...

The song is called surplus of rare artifacts, from the eve jukebox. This however is the "new" version, and is much faster than the old version. I personally love the old version.

@geramul I managed to get my hands on the Unofficial EVE Online Soundtrack a couple years back, and it has about 30 tracks from in-game. And they're slower! I like the slower, more spaced-out versions.
The songs in-game now are all very fast. Some of them aren't even good anymore, they've sped them up so much!

they look sweet, however, one thing that has always bumped me about the shipdesigns in EVE is the lack of symmetry. Not that there is anything wrong with it. I just like Symmetry... which is why i fly a Drake a lot :D

My question is, how can CCP introduce ships that are technologically superior to the others, without having them just blow everyone else away? next thing you know, 95% of people will fly Jovian ships, whether the like them or not, because it'll be the only way to compete in PvP

@jmoseph767 only employees of CCP can fly these ships as the skills needed have recursive pre-requisites. I.E. Skill 1 requires Skill 2 to be trained but Skill 2 requires Skill 1 to be trained.

@Arcaneraven No, EVERY race in EVE are still human. None of them are "alien". They're all still descendants of the people of Earth. The only difference with the Jovians is they never got knocked back to the stone age like the other races when the EVE wormhole collapsed.

the artwork in this game is pretty cool. however the gameplay is very boring. i have never played a game i spent so much time doing the same thing over and over again just to increase the size of my ship and the number on my wallet tab. i still don't know what they were thinking when they made this game. it seems they expect people to care as much about their games as they do about their lives. because playing this game is far more stressful than living my life. and i live in England.

@TheScienceofnature This game's base mission (quest) mechanics are no different really than any other MMO. Fight, deliver, fetch, escort, and hybrids thereof. You increase your money to buy better eqipment to do stronger missions and take on stronger foes. Only in this game your skills train in real time. Which eliminates instant gratification, which is very good. Gets rid of all the whiners and kiddies most MMOs seem to be polluted with. Maybe you just don't like RPG's in general.

@LordKinoda i guess because the lack of environments and the similarities of the enemies you are fighting kinda takes the whole thrill out of the game. e.g. in WOW each mission has its own unique story behind it and the characters you are fighting are all unique. so each quest you go on tempts you to go on another one. but i also found WOW a little too time consuming so i didn't like that either. EVe has its own very realistic economy and politics, however this is only for some players.

@TheScienceofnature Lack of enviroments ? There's like 5000 star systems in this game. From my experience in MMO's, that vastly outweighs any other I can think of in terms of zones. There is plenty of variety in terms of stations, areas, gates, ships etc. I played WoW for about 2 years. It was fun, but not entirely unique as you suggest. I fought and killed TONS of the same enemies, OVER and OVER again in WoW as well. Far as time consuming, yep, all MMOs are like that. All the good ones anyway.

@LordKinoda all the zones are almost exactly the same. the backdrop occasionally changes from blue to red or yellow. am not saying WOW is a great game either. the culture of stormwind is very different from that of bootybay or ironforge because of that you are always encountering different story line and characters which make it more interesting. in EVE the pirates charge up their weapons and you follow the same procedure as you do for all the other missions. kill, salvage, warp in and out...etc

@LordKinoda having said that i do think that maybe if a player reaches the level in which they manage corporations and forge alliances, the game might become more eventful and interesting. but like i said, my idea of a game is not to spend hours and hours on it in order for a story line to be revealed, i only play video games when i have free times not make time from my daily routine to play a game.

@TheScienceofnature Ah. Sounds like you're more of a casual gamer. MMOs are the most definently NOT for you. Even single player RPG's might not be up your alley. There are plenty of awesome games out there that don't take forever to complete, and "party" type games like Rock Band. I know some MMOs like to claim you get something out of the game no matter how much time you put in, but that's a huge lie. Time is always the deciding factor on how powerful you are in an MMO. Always.
