@StarsManny In case you were wondering, D cells contain manganese dioxide, ammonium chloride, zinc chloride, zinc metal, and a carbon electrode. All of those aren't particularly bad, but manganese dioxide has been known to cause birth defects in pregnant women. Other than that, the chemicals are pretty safe. I've taken them apart before. They aren't bad, just really messy.

i have some lithium ion batteries from laptops....if i will charge them with regular chargers will it be a problem..when they are used in laptops i think there is a circuit that senses if they are fully charge and the charging stops

@EvendimataE Be carefull , you need to monitor the cells temperature so that they don't overheat, best is to use a proper charger as these Li cells will explode if not charged properly.

rewound for 400 Volts primary and about 18 turns of 35 mm² wire.

As it runs on under voltage ( 120 - 240 Volts ac via variac ) the TX is full proof and will not burn out in a short circuit.
