Oh, and manufacturing the molds for any of the 40k models, is illegal in most places. You probaly won't get in (too much) shit for having a mold, it's making the actual sprues, or selling them, that will get you knee deep in shit (If you get caught.)
Not saying I haven't done it, but I made a mold of a space marine, enlarged it, filled it with concrete, and made a pretty decent statue out of it (after MUCH detailing with various tools). So I really haven't done anything illegal.
High quality molds, like the ones used on 5th edition models for 40k, are really hard to get, but only $500 if you know what you're doing.
It's the lisence to sell 40k models, the materials needed (high quality plastic, the type of alloy they use for metal models, a factory or work place capable of manufacturing the models) are what costs alot.
I was talking about the dwarves he modded into pieces for the imperial army. If he had used circle bases they would be tourney legal since he went through the trouble of putting their appropriate weapons on.
i`m curently making something for lizardmen its based on the old slann priest, lett me give you all an idea, what do you get when you use the body of the new giant and a revell 1:13 styracosaurus and lots of plasticard and greenstuff???.you`ll see lol.
most indiviual unit and modals are indeed converted, but i do have a army that is for the most part converted, its a 1500 points imperial guard army its painted and converted in my favorit shooter game "KILLZONE" the hellgast army, the troops and armed fist squads are all made of kasrkins.

The sprues are easy to make molds of.
Getting decent quality molds is hard.

i'm dislectic as well. but its not that bad, just can get weird when your treated different to other people.

nice tyranids at thew end, they deffinately look like hard work to make, how long did they take? and is that a carnifex at the end?
powerofdestiny 3 years ago

faf26 3 years ago
you should try to make a norn queen..id say ud be able to....and a hierophant, even though you can buy those, the scratch builds are always better
Europeofnebb 3 years ago
those trygons were WO0O0O0O0O0O0ow0O0WO0W and was that a norn queen at the end
Europeofnebb 3 years ago
No it's too small to be a norn queen, it was a hierodule or mabye a dominatrix.
