  • @bertkerstens Not frost since most enemies in Skyrim are frost resistant.

  • for enchanting purposes i say add Soul Stealer combine that with dawnstar chest=unlimited supplies of gems & raising enchanting in the process

  • i say take frost and shock frost for warriors and shock against mage's because shock will drain magicka

  • SHOW SOME GAMEPLAY

  • Google ''Skyrim Perk Calculator'', one of the most helpfull tools when you're planning your build USE IT NOW!

  • @OblivionZealot its a cool tool

  • @OblivionZealot Damn, thanks

  • @KRterrorKR123 No problem.

  • Tower of Strength is a brken perk, it does nothing.

  • Oh, and for every class I play as I always spec a little tiny bit in Alchemy, especially if I'm a mage. It can save your ass a few time if you run out of Magicka or Health/Stamina or if you just want to buff yourself for a while.

  • If you like summoning stuff do not use the Atronach Stone, it's some wierd bug with it so that when it's active your summoing spells may not work 50% of the time, I'd go with the Lover Stone.

  • I really like your style of commentary, very impressed!

  • What M/H/S ratio is recommended.

  • @Ferret0418 he said in part 1 of the guide its hard to judge, but you kinda have to go 1 / 1 / 1 and change it up if you find something falling short.

  • tk i love all ur builds and ur lets play. u should make a berserker build. dual wield, light armor shit like tht

  • lol at kinky...

  • nice name

  • Have you listed this build somewhere in an article?

  • yep there arent 10 minutes are 13:))

  • trend make magical armor so you dont nrrd to make a bunch of points in alteration

  • What is the most op build do you think? Im into mages and battle mage seems epic. Thanks in advance

  • @boombakaify Race does not matter, but it would be 1) Alchemy 2) Enchanting 3) Smithing 4) Any Weapon. With good smithing you can reach the maximum defence (567 points of calculated resistance). This is pretty broken, though.

A VERY GOOD build would be Vampire Necromage (Restoration perk). With Atronach stone and perk (Alteration) you can absorb 100% of magicka passively. This doesn't have to be sneaky, either, but it can work that way.

Think Ebony Flesh + Bound Sword/ Daedric Sword.

  • It Would be Great To see a couple of Other Build , Like Bezerker , Priest , Necromancer , Warlock . TrendKill Continue the nice work , me and my friends are fan of works and got our class dones by your video XD

  • lol, "hello, my name is wtfbattlemage"

  • were is the second paladin vid?

  • Name: wtfbattlemage

    LOL

  • what do you think.. light armor is good on a battle mage??

  • @levimustdie11 That would be more of a Spellsword build.

  • 7:32 LOL XD

  • I've begun wondering something, do the "Vigilants of Stengarr" count as Battlemages or what?

  • should a battlemage join the collegw of winterhold?

  • @dapinoyboy10 I think yes ,good TIP.

  • @dapinoyboy10 yes, mainly just for the vendors and the dragon priest mask you get in the college of winterhold quest line, though the trainers are good too

  • @dapinoyboy10 Anyone can join any college. There are advantages to joining, as there is for every magic using class, but it will be less so then others.

I'd say: Join and take what you can, the vendors are good, but there isn't much point in continuing on with the quest line (at all), so you can disregard that.

  • @cpmc1 Actually, the Master ritual Radiant Quests are essential to get the best spells in the game, so get those magic skills to 90!

  • @demokratorkodo The thing is, the Master level spells are actually pretty bad. The ratio is terrible; for less magicka you could deal more damage to more enemies in the same amount of time, except for the fire spell, which is by far overly costly magicka wise. It takes to long to cast. Instead, the adept spells, together with the perks for dual casting and the extra damage in whichever type of spell it is, is a much better method of battle in my opinion.

Only Master Alteration is worth it.

  • @cpmc1 As well as Master Conjuration and Illusion_____perm pets and area mind rape are pretty nifty!!

Only Destruction truly disapoints, as the damage doesn't scale with profiency, unlike weapon skills!!

    Bethesda take note_____scaleable Destruction damage!!

  • @demokratorkodo The only conjuration that really interests me is Dead Thrall. The other thralls cost a lot more then the normal atronachs, and do the same damage. If it would be killed before an atronach would have timed out, then you wasted magicka on not summon the atronach. If it didn't, the time it takes for it to die would refill your magicka. Unless you are a vampire out in the day, in which case you shouldn't really be doing master spells anyway.

  • @cpmc1 As for Master Illusion spells, dual casting adept and expert spells out do the master spells. You can't "dual cast", because it has to be an option, and the master spells always use both hands. They are useful in some fluky situations, but it doesn't appeal to it's audience at all: A sneaky or quick manipulating character can't deal with the huge area of effect, or it takes to long to cast.

Some builds CAN use them, but it would be based around those moves specifically.

  • @cpmc1 Although you are absolutely correct about scaling magicka damage. I guess it does make sense (magicka is not dependent on personal strength, and so has the same strength always), but even just ways to improve the damage, rather then reduce cost (to zero) would be appreciated. It renders destruction a good support, but pure mages will have a difficult time on higher difficulties. Master is almost a cherry tapping event to last an age.

  • If you're a Breton with the Atronach stone and you wear heavy armor you don't need Alteration. Just craft a good set of legendary armor and you can easily reach the armor cap of 567. As for magic all you need to do is pop on Dragonskin (with Atronach) and you'll have great defense against spells and not a single point invested in Alteration.

Also, Ebony Armor is glitched as the Matching Set perk does not effect it. Hopefully Bethesda fixes that.

  • hey bro love your builds your making :D wouldn't mind seeing u do some walkthroughs and just wanted to say u have great communication skills

  • @KawasakiTwoStroke *Holy Paladin* (anyone who can have a sword and restoration + heavy armor) *Obsidian Tank* (Orc with heavy armor, one or two-handed weapons) *Magic Gladiator* (Breton with Destruction+One handed weapon, note you can combine with this guide, cuz i dont take alteration, etc) *Monk* (ive never tryed this, but you DONT use weapons, so take kahjiit, light armor, restoration, and be creative with one handed tree perks, use dual weild, and take crazy amounts of health)

  • WTFBATTLEMAGE!

  • i have prob 150+ game hrs and i want a DIFFERENT class to play any tips?

  • @KawasakiTwoStroke what type of classes have you used until now?

  • I put equal points into all stats until 300 Magicka and 300 Stam, then stack everything on health. Too much?

  • As always, a great video.

  • Still waiting on the paladin build...

  • Pikachu-Class next time, please?

  • @qadlive123

    Storm Mage?

  • Comment removed

  • 7:33 epic lulz

  • i wanna watch your ass get beat as a battlemage!

  • Do you know if Bladesman also add crit to daggers ??

  • @Waraji258

i don't think it does, daggers don't count as blades for that. (but I'm not so certain).

  • for one handed weapons does conjuration weapon count?

  • @Xazenable yes

  • @millerality good i will own! ass!

  • @Xazenable he said it in the last video --"

    yes...

  • you don't use a shield for battle mage?

  • @furydesigner cuz its not a warrior? Btw a mage with a shield that is pretty funny ^^

  • @Xazenable yeah but i thought a battle mage is kind of warrior who also has strong magical powers...

  • plus i really wanna use this build

  • can you please show us how to fight with the battle mage? like show us a gameplay of this build thank you. im not getting a full grasp of the build

  • Are there like Bound Maces or anything?

  • @VelvetxRevolverx

Nope, just a one handed sword, two handed axe and a bow.

  • @VelvetxRevolverx Only one-handed sword, two-handed axe and bow at the momet, Might get more in DLCs.

  • Hey, thank you so much for this video! I've just made myself a battlemage Breton character and I think your guidelines are perfect for the style of play I have in mind! :)

  • where can you get the bound sword spell early on?

  • @murybcm You can buy it from wizard named Farengar Secret-Fire at the Jarl's palace Dragonsreach in Whiterun. :)

  • @murybcm whiterun from the mage in the castle and just to let you know that spell if you use it constantly up of conjuration fast and im level 19 and my conjueration up to 65 already

  • @murybcm the court wizard of whiterun will have it cheap.

  • What about Health, Magika, and Stamina points? Im just not sure where to focus more -_-

  • @jennidot 60% magika (6/10) and 40% Health (4/10)

  • In the Alteration skill tree there is a perk that makes you more resistant to magic. So if you were a Breton you would have 50% magicka resistance instead of just 20%.

  • try using shield when you're out of magicka

  • You play battlemage much more defensively than I do. I use an imperial specializing destruction (fire mostly) and restoration. Also why not pick up conditioned perk? It frees up ALOT of inventory with heavy armor along with giving more stamina for running and making you faster. I'm still building mage stats up but i plan to pick up the lord stone to become a quick tank of murdering death.

  • my game guide book says breton is necromancer and imperial is battlemage

  • in my opinion the imperials racial power is wasted for a battlemage whereas the bretons comes in handy for both classes. The only reason I would choose imperial would be for their restoration skill, however this can be counteracted by spending some gold on a skill trainer to quickly get it up to the same skill level

  • @craftyminer171 The game guide has many suggestions, but they aren't exactly the best. It says the Argonians are good Rogues, a.k.a. Nightblades, but actually Dunmer are more suitable for the class.

  • @craftyminer171 That is probably because the breton has a high conjuration skill which is used to raise undead.

  • do i max the perks in order?

  • What about a archer mage??

  • @mciarlette Archer cant be mage its liek two opposites. You will be firing a bow but if a bow is out you cant use magic well unless you un-equip your bow and summon like an atronarch.

  • Make a Necromancer Build

  • where can i get the spell tomes of bound weapons?

  • @dapinoyboy10 You can get the spell tome from the Jarls magic assistant that you meet near the beginning of the game

  • how should we level our magicka, health, and stamina

  • @TheWizKiD1997 he said to level them evenly so maybe at level 2 level up magicka then level 3 level up health then stamina and do that like a pattern

  • I'm only halfway through the video, but instead of combat spell in my non-weapon hand, I use a raise zombie type spell, so if I ahve to fight like, 3 people, I can make it an even fight just by killing one of them.

  • what about smithing?

  • Aura whisper can detect life (shout)

  • Why do you need dragonhide on full heavy armour? Heard that about 567 armour gives 80% reduce and none more so does dragonhide stack on it? Pls answer

  • @AhmedRedbul I'll give you a tip: don't stick to much to Master spells, not to say that you should COMPLETELY AVOID them. It's just that they are not worth it. They are strong, but you need both hands to charge, and it takes 5 seconds. Better use Expert level. To be more clear for you question, use Ebonyflesh if you need to, because heavy armor may not be that great against magic attacks.

  • Great job mate, your videos and channel are something to be proud of.

Any chances we are gonna see a necromancer build? :)

  • thanks for this battle mage is the hardest to set up

  • where can you get the bound sword tome early ?

  • @Anemonenous talk to farengar , who is dragonreach in whitrun

  • @Anemonenous Go to morthal, go southwest, cross the river, and look around for a ruin named Dead Men's Respite. You can get a quest at the Bard's College to help you locate it, and to get easily rid of the Quest Item you will find. Anyway, in there the tome can be found.

  • trendkill your classes are great and deep but what about saying if you should be a vampire or werewolf. thumbs up so he can see guys

  • "i dont want to go like 10 minutes into this video..."

    11:43:)

  • can you please answer back trenkill what stone are you using for the battle mage thank you please answer back

  • @Brinkalator Isnt it ment to be a Jack of all trades but a master of none? :S

  • how should i level my primary stats like magicka, health, stamina per level?

  • conjuration ftw!

  • Alteration and heavy armor is really redundant. They only stack earlier in the game, and alterations is the Mage armor skill, heavy armor is warrior armor skill, its kind of pointless to get both. It'd be like getting both heavy and light armor.

  • @TheIamSTEVE not exactly, alteration perks allow you to get high resistance to spell trough absorb and pure resistance, dont forget paralyze spell that is one of the best spell

  • @lInsidious Conjuring-> Summon dremora lord= insta win

  • Omg I would have to be lvl 1,000,000 to get all those perks along with the perks for smithing and enchanting

  • @JackWestJr22 Wats a necromancer

  • @gamerpro8854 Wat do u mean ........can u just leave the guilds and groups

  • @KRJRmusic I think he was he was horny

  • When u put points in to one handed to make u do extra damage does it give the bound sword extra damage

  • Concerning the types of destruction magic, most people in skyrim are nords which gives them a resistance to frost so your sending people off to screw themselves

  • which stones?

  • Is this the order you these?

  • lol he said kinky and the skill is called deflect blows

  • I know a lot of it's personal preference, but I think The Steed stone is really helpful. It prevents encumbrance from any worn armor and gives you an extra 100 lbs of weight to carry! Great for people that like to raid caves. But great video! Thanks!

  • @SqartanKing Aronach stone + alteration magical defensive perks + being a breton = Invincible to mages and dragons. Add in heavy armor and some restoration with some enchanting and you are unstoppable.

  • I think it would be awesome if you showed video of you playing a character based on these builds.

  • so for the stats for battle mage would it be 2.2.1 or 1.1.1?

  • @TheToydra NEVERMIND I FOUND IT!

  • @TheToydra 2.2.1 till you have 200 stamina

  • Yes on both questions.

  • Is it all right if I just go with bound weapons for weapons and does my one handed skill and perks effect my on handed bound weapons and does using one handed bound weapons improve my one handed skill?

  • @soldierassasin Yes, if you summon a bound sword it is affected by one-handed and levels up as you use it.

  • I like conjuration spells, would it ruin the class if I just left destruction spells so I could just stick to conjuration, please reply!

  • What guild i should enter ? Companion , College of Winterhold .... ? Sorry for some wrong word , i'm brazillian :$

  • @NeguebaHeroe

    Both.

  • @NeguebaHeroe um you did that rather well and seem to have a better grasp than i you can join both i find, or even the dark brotherhood and thieves guilds.

  • @NeguebaHeroe usually when i start the game i lvl up more before i join any groups or colleges on skyrim. If you want to start to learn spells faster and level up any schools spells go to the college of winterhold For The Companions you get money and you can start lvling up your one or two hand weapons and armor lvl but you can enter many guilds and groups except the Imperial and Stormcloaks group thoes are permanent groups

  • @NeguebaHeroe Both, they are both worth it if you are doing this build

  • @NeguebaHeroe All of the above. If you don't, then your not a true skyrim fan. And I dont give a shit about this 13 min ad that imo makes no sense for what ive watched <.<

  • @NeguebaHeroe i did all of them but i did college first then brother hood the theives then companions but only becuase i had trouble deciding how i wanted to play the game i say it is all about the end bonuse of each of them

  • @NeguebaHeroe You can enter both if you want. I'd say go for College of Winterhold if you want to really focus in magic, but if you go with the Companions instead, you'll have a pleasant surprise ;)

  • @NeguebaHeroe thats pretty good, you had everything right, besides i goes before should, still good though

  • @NeguebaHeroe Why not join them all?

  • @NeguebaHeroe Do both

  • @NeguebaHeroe best choice would be obviosly both

  • @NeguebaHeroe both if possible

  • @NeguebaHeroe Join Both it doesn't really matter which guild you join, they give you more quests to do, followers etc.

  • @NeguebaHeroe god damn it.. another brazilian watching it? i thought i was the only one =P cara, como é battlemage o legal seria entrar pras duas, companion e o college of winterhold!

  • @NeguebaHeroe dude you can enter them all

  • Comment removed

  • @NeguebaHeroe

    All of them.

  • Comment removed

  • @NeguebaHeroe i would say College of Winterhold first then companions

  • @NeguebaHeroe u can enter both

  • @NeguebaHeroe all of them!

  • @NeguebaHeroe cool i thought i was the only brazillian who watched he and in my opinion do em both and dark brotherhood so you win the $20000 and then you make daggers to reach smithing 90 and make daedric shit as fast as possible

  • @NeguebaHeroe I enter both

  • @NeguebaHeroe I enter every guild as every character because let's say you will need the skyforge steel sword ( more dmg than dwarven sword ) , dark brotherhood gives you 40k gold for all quests , college may give you infinite duration daedra lords X 2 !!! Thief guild is good for gold and it's alot of fun. Imperial / Stormcloak wars are around 1k-2k gold per mission. Just go everywhere !

  • Name: wtfbattlemage .... lol

  • First of all, I wanna say that I'm lovin the vids, but I was wondering if u could make perhaps a necromancer character? I'd like to c some of the less used skills like conjuration as more of a main skill. Looking forward to the lets play, but really like the class videos, and they've really helped me see the errors in my build and correct them

  • You should do a gameplay video

  • I do not think alteration will be that helpful for me

  • and where can i get spells? hhe

  • @popoy420 if you play skyrim u should know that

  • what are bound weapons? what do they look like first time playing this game hehe.. and i wanna try defensive battle mage.. shield and spell in the other hand any comments? pls?

  • What do you put your points in mostly like stamina or magic or health

  • @fudgehead68 Thank you for clarifying (seriously, not sarcasm), I didn't actually mean to say don't ever put another point into Stamina PERIOD after that perk. Sure, you can put another point or two into stamina but its not like you have to keep saying "Gahhh, gotta put another point in Stamina so I can carry shit!". That perk just allows you to focus much more on health and magika

  • Those advices in character building you gave us were enlightening keep up the great work. TrendKill builds FTW.!.!

  • I like what you did except for Heavy Armor. For those who don't know, there is a perk in Heavy Armor that makes all heavy armor worn WEIGHS NOTHING!!! I think that is extremely good especially because it means once you have that perk, you really don't have to focus on Stamina because you won't need the extra carrying capacity. Everything else was spot on TrendKILLv01, I like what you did. Just a suggestion keep up the good work!!

  • @codkiller7ify Stamina is still needed for power attacks, but I agree, you don't have to freak out over stamina after that

  • Great video! From what i've seen you usually spread your build skill points to level 50. Here I noticed you covered around 42 of the skill points. Since you didn't mention smithing or any other non combat skills, I'd guess you assume the player would use the remaining points in those skill trees?

I hope it's not a dumb question, but I usually need my hand held on this kind of shit.

  • favourite commentator ever.

  • battle mage on skyrim is round about what i did in oblivion oblivion=mace heavy armour conjuration restoration illusion shield(heavy) skyrim all the same apart from shield

  • i play on expert difficulty until im amazin then switch to mster for a challenge

  • does a dragon's fire/frost breath count as spells?

  • @Cryptically Well I don't know about dragons but some mages blocked my fire and unrelenting force shouts using magical wards so I think they might.
