She s better than Suzuka, but she's too late. Yamato has gone to Honoka family's temple several time before and Honoka did'nt express her feeling to him. It is simple that she's just too late.
I agree that Honoka is prettier than Suzuka.....however, i think the romance of the story lies in how the Akitsuki was finally able to release Suzuka from her torment in the end! In any case, it's nice that Honoka should be given a tribute like this.
@hekoharu i just did.i was deeply moved by this anime series.i felt suzuka's pain of letting go but i really feel so down because honoka was cast aside.there are not a lot of girls in this world who are true to themselves and what they feel.she loved so much and yet her love was unrequited.i just finished reading the manga.happy for suzuka and yamato but i just don't know if honoka has really gotten more confident about herself to get over her feeling for yamato for good.

She fought for her love till the very end, and that's what I happen to find the most amazing aspect of this girl, and the outcome of this maybe tries to show us that in life, no matter how good or pure you are, life wouldn't play fair on you all the time.
i really don't like yamato ending up with suzuka.. first, i prefer him with honoka so what they did was put her out of the picture.. second, there was this saki, so what they did was put her out of the picture.. third, the sweet yui, what they did is they put her out of the picture and made her look bad.. next was miki.. what they did?? com' on! they didn't put her out of the picture.. they just let yamato and suzuka have sex and suzuka be pregnant so that no one will interfere! damn..

Honoka is an amazingly strong character though. it takes a lot for a person to let the one they love most, be with somebody else cause they make them happier.

Totally agree with ya. Maybe an OVA for showing an alternate ending with Honaka like the Clannad series with Tomoya-Tomoyo relationship. Doubt it would happen though but never hurts to hope.
