Was wondering how the Slingplayer Mobile looks in HD on the iPhone, is there a big difference between regular stream and HD in your opinion? @ lg123xyz If your looking to just stream to your iPhone you won't notice much difference in quality from the SD stream to an HD stream. From a Slingbox Pro HD to a computer with a fast processor (at least duo core and 2 gigs ram) Yes! Very good quality, but if your off your network make sure you have at least 2-3 Mb/s upload rate for HD Quality otherwise it will really cut down the quality unless you let the buffer load before playback. I'm on DSL and I regret not just getting the Slingbox Solo

You can't watch two different channels on two different devices. If you are watching channel A in your room, the same channel shows on the main TV. So it's limited.

Ye, its all well and good... I just got one. But they neglect to inform you that a good portion of cable internet providers create a throttle on your upload on residential connections. Residential connections have restrictions from running servers and this is technically being used as a streaming video server. If the cable company picks up that there is a continuous upload they will cut it off for a bit. Do your homework first. Great if you have a business line with no uploading cap.

Oh also i did somthing like this more then 5 years ago using windows media encoder and a TV tuner on the pc only it idn't reconfigure the quality for the device (you could set up multiple qualitys to pick from) and it didn't alow for changing channels (could be done with a web interface i think) but it did alow for multiple clients at one time.
