I played a game like this once except the plot was that your plane crashed on an island and you were with your spouse. I never got the hang of it and kept getting bitten by poisonous spiders... Love the 'beeping' sounds- reminds me of the ASCII games I loved to play.

I always liked Space Quest 2 because it's one of the first games Sierra made where, not only was there a plethora of stupid ways for you to die, but the game enjoyed insulting you for falling into each and every single one.
