Very interesting this idea of You Tube guitar duets, if I can understand one of us play a voice on his guitar and put it on his You Tube Channel, and an other person play the other voice by hearing and looking at the other vidéo.

Yes, I have recorded Julie's video into my HD and then I've made video of me playing with the reproduction of that video on my computer.

Thanks for the reply. I saw other videos with the two persons playing at the same time in two corners of the video or with the second person in the central part, but I do not know how they make it technically, is there a software, which help to do this montage.

In that case they do a first video and the second one is made with the guy using a headphone to listen the audio of the first one, to synchronize them. So, using a software, they make the video with both in two corners of the screen. There are several software that do the thing.

I wondered where you found that solo guitar piece re-written in two parts. Also the sound of the bass strings on your vintage 7-string guitar is wonderful.

esta é a forma tradicional de se acompanhar a música popular brasileira, com o violão de 7 cordas fazendo uma espécie de "contraponto" com a melodia.

O Mestre maior nessa arte foi o famoso Dino 7 Cordas (Horondino Silva), falecido recentemente.

that style of accompaniment is interesting and done with sensitivity by you. you hinted above (below?) that this is a style of play and that it's not necessarily written out. if that's the case here, my hat's way off to you. and I thought jazz comping was hard!

thanks Tony, this is really a free way to accompany used in choros and traditional sambas, not bossa-nova. And the seven strings guitar is very important with the basses.
