Im a cosmetoligist and something that looks really good with flipping your hair with layers is adding alot of volume in the back section of your hair. It adds to the more glamorous look. So, that means you can wear a more flashy shirt and mabey skinny jeans or a matching skirt.

I don't think you need to have layers to do this. But if you have layers it looks much much nicer. If you don't have layers you can only flip the ends /:

you can do that, but considering you hair is just one length, the results wouldn't be the same. it would just looked all flipped out. i would reccomend trying it out on a night in...and if you enjoy the results, use it for an even or something...but if you don't like the results, well...at least you tried! =)
