My dad is a nurse; he spends all day saving lives. Most of my family are or have been in the police. My great grandad was a policeman during the war, rescuing people. Just because they're in the police doesn't make them bad people. Just because you don't like them doesn't mean that everyone else is wrong. Perhaps if you obeyed the law then you wouldn't have a problem with them. And they have just as much right to ask people to stop filming them as anyone does.

I'm a police officer and if someone asked me for my name and number (which are printed on my uniform anyway) I'd give it to them straight away rather than playing the "what does that say?" game. I want to be in the police force myself. I don't like the Police being portrayed in a bad manner like this. However I have to say that both of these officers were unprofessional. They give the law a bad name. But don't forget, not every cop you see is unprofessional like these two.
The vast majority of police i've had the misfortune to have dealth with have a sever authority complex. Readily banding about this violation of the public order act for simply questioning their inquiries or powers. Most of them behave in a manner which uses intimidation as it's primary tool, rather than rational application of the law. I have met some genuine police officers who were nothing but considerate, but they're few and far between.
You are in a public place and therefore he has no right t grab your camera or yourself in the manner that he displayed in the video. The vast majority of police i've had the misfortune to have dealth with have a sever authority complex. Readily banding about this violation of the public order act for simply questioning their inquiries or powers. Most of them behave in a manner which uses intimidation as it's primary tool, rather than rational application of the law. I have met some genuine police officers who were nothing but considerate, but they're few and far between.
