There is sooooo much sand in the beginning of spring I have had sliped on the sand that's always left over from the winter countless times. It's very challenging and very fun :)

I'd have to say Springtime skating is the best if you live somewhere with the stereotypical four seasons (hot summers, cool/cloudy falls, snowy winters, and warm springs). After a few months of skating random patches of dry concrete, indoor parks every now and then it feels so good to get out of hiberskation (hibernation) and skate the streets and outdoor parks, even if they are covered in melting snow, sand, and rocks and the skating's a bit sketchy from the time off. It should be Spring 4ever.
