This guy is an undeniable presence in music. That's probably the best classification for a musician: Not too popular as to provoke fanaticism, nor overlooked due to eclecticism. Maybe one day this will change, but I believe this is the place to be for a musician.
@UnrecycleRubdish it's his background with classical music and the irony that he hated the scene of it all but still retains prominent roots to classical, but has the mentality of a true artist painting the canvas with his own paintbrush instead of following in the foot steps other artists have walked before, well put though
@Lucidsoudir hey! how about you stop being so negative to absolute strangers on the internet? that comment wasn't for or about you so keep your unwanted comments to yourself or otherwise not as replies to me alright?
At 38 he is old enough to hypothetically be my father is all i was saying, since you obviously didn't catch that.
Last weekend I saw Andrew play the final concert in a very long tour. I waited for him after the show and he walked over to me and was very friendly. I asked him how he feels when the crowd is cheering with more enthusiasm than usual, and he said it means a lot to him because it feels like the audience is really listening to him rather than going through the motions.
To all the fans out there, know that Andrew truly cares about his fans and I hope you cheer your loudest for him!!!
Tour? With The Decemberists!? And I missed it? There is no reason to keep living.

Agreed. His show was amazing. I love watching him create his songs piece by piece on stage.
Plus, he has a very entertaining way of dancing while he plays!
