Why don't games include boarding possibilities!?!?! Wouldn't it be cool to have free roam of a ship while the ship was in battle??? Be making your way to the hanger to escape before it climactically exploded? And if it did explode, have that be actual gameplay, instead of a cinematic scene!??! Am i the only one who feels so?

I'm happy with space maps being ship-to-ship combat-only. Star Wars isn't about boarding action, it's about shooting. Boarding would also mean ships wouldn't be able to pitch or roll, as this'd make it impossible to move around in them. In fact, it'd mean ships couldn't move at all, as this'd create too much lag (two titans alone cause lots of lag in vanilla BF2142). So I say boarding action be a special thing in a map or several maps centered on it.

Yeah, the lagg would probably be unbearable using any modern game system, but using specialty software might eliminate that problem.

Since they have artificial gravity, they could pitch and roll as much as they'd want, that the boarding crew would not be affected in the least.

Although Personally other than modding I realy enjoy being amature movie maker lol, I enjoy makeing teh cinematic movie style trailers etc, So I will certainly be making one, and It's not done in a way to hide things like a magician, it's just done to hype the mod and show you guys are progress.

my only beef with BF2 dogfighting was the fact that the maps were so small you have almost no room to manuver, cause you fly in one direction for more than 10 seconds and they say you are leaving the battlefield, Battlefield 1942 was and is the best game in the series for map size, Fighters (cause they were much slower and had more room to go around) and ships (cause you could move the ships around and fire coastal bombardments,

spawn on the ships and send ships to the shoreline) sadly I never had the joy of playing Battlefield 1942 in multiplayer, Battlefield 2142 is great, and perfect for this mod, but BF2142 had no fighters(maps were too small anyhow so they just used gunships instead, which royally sucked because fighters and gunships seemed to only be available in multiplayer so you coulden't practice with them in single player, which was retarded)

at least they had titans which sortof combined the old battleships and carriers from 1942, but they lagged the server to hell when they moved around unlike the ships in 1942, they also are really hard to land on, while the Carriers in 1942 were easier partly cause you could practice in single player.

I'm not going to lie... that was a horrible teaser video. Didn't really get me hooked at all. The amount of gameplay shown was so limited and so boring that it hurt. There was only like 25 seconds of footage and there was 15 seconds of telling us who made it and that it's ingame footage. That's not a very healthy proportion.

I remember something similar to this on Battlefield 1942 where you had full control of battleships in multiplayer. You'd play captain at the helm while your friends manned the turrets and systems. Way buggy back then, but this looks cool! Like old times! Can't wait!
