  • I want to thank you for making this video. This is exactly the issue that I have experienced with my G32 (purchased in 2010). I'll just add my own experience as another data point in confirmation of your theory. My FTFs occur with less frequency than you showed, but it's not good enough for carry. The rounds obviously nosedive and sometimes setback too (bad stuff). Appears they get caught between the follower and the lip on the right side really low. Just need a flatter follower I'm betting

  • I'll stay away from this gun! Thanks!

  • I had a problem with a Glock 29SF w/ FTF. Gun went back to Glock 5 times. Finally Glock gave me a new gun.Same problem.

I found out the problem was the double spring recoil spring . You need to lube that double spring on the guide rod.Once I did that , solved the problem with FTF completely!

    No FTF at all!

  • I am considering this firearm. Does the 32 still come with the # 2 magazines? Is Glock aware of this? The Gen 4s 32 hit the market soon. Thanks for the video.

  • @DiabeticOnBoard not quite sure about what is coming with them now. i know that glock started fixing the magazines shortly after this video was posted and others were having similar problems several years ago. just so you know the gen4 g32s are already on the market, you just need to find one. good luck.

  • @jbarbaresi I notice the change in magazines a couple years back when I decided to buy spare magazines for my G31. The original and spare were labeled "2", when I bought the 3 extra spares, I notice they threw in 1 infiltrator labeled "1" that is a bit different in the fact that the follower in the magazines, where the bullet sits on is sort of backwards from the number "2" originals I had. IMO, these mags and dual recoil springs had led me to stay away from all 4th gens, for a while at least.

  • hey i got a glock 32 and all my mags are the number 2 followers and i had a few ftf issues like you have but it was mainly in the break in period i got about 800 rounds fire in it and maybe about 7 ftf out of those 800 rounds i just took it to the range a few days ago and out another 200 rounds in it not one problem what so ever so i think maybe the mags need to be broken in some to just like the gun i love my glock 32 i carry it everyday

  • I have a 32 I use as my carry. It came with 2 mags with the number 2 follower and no steel cutout. I've put 1200- 1300 rounds through it and the only ftf I had was with some steel case ammo. Happened maybe 3 times in one box. I love the gun. I hope the magazine issue some have gets worked out.

  • Great review! Obviously a mag issue. Thanks for your review. I'm sure Glock will make it right for all users. Have you contacted them? Did they send you replacement mags? I understand their customer support is fantastic.

  • Did you "drop the magazine" by any chance this includes dropping the weapon while that particular mag was in it or dropping a fully loaded mag on the ground? Reason being is that I had the same exact issue - Failure to Feed - from a clip in one of my Springfield weapons because I had dropped the magazine. There was a "slight dent" barely noticeable at the "head" (top) of the magazine. So here's the deal, technically you can get it repaired, but you're better discarding it..

  • @mytube18301 no chance they were dropped any harder than during a normal mag change. glock magazines are not known to damage easily.

  • Hi, Quick question. I bought the glock 32 recently(new) and it came with the most recently designed magazine, im wondering where(if possible) can i get a magazine of the previous design as my current one jams for every 2 to 4 shots fired.

  • @62beansgoon sorry I don't. I bought mine from cdnninvestments when they were trying to clear out some old stock and got lucky. if you find any "LE" marked magazines they will be the good ones.

  • @jbarbaresi Alright, much appreciated.

  • Why do you choose the glock 32? And not the 19?

  • @xXxNORALADYxXx Probably because the glock 19 carrys a 9mm cartridge and the glock 32 carrys a 357 sig which is by far a more powerful round.....although the glock 19 is a beautiful piece of machinery and a fine weapon.

  • For what it's worth, I got the #2 mags with my new G32. I fired 100 rds of Remington UMC 125 grain FMJ, some 115 grain Corbon JHP, and the new Winchester 125 grain Pdx1. I didn't have any failures. It's a new Gen 3, with the new grey finish. I noticed with the slide back, full mag in, the ejector pushes the brass so that the bullet nose is pointing slightly left. Doesn't seem to affect feeding. All the brass ejected correctly, except a couple times I loosened my grip, and they went over my head.

  • JUST GET SOME # 1 CLIPS AND YOUR GOOD TO GO, GLOCK KNOWS THE 2s ARE BAD

  • 99% Shure it's the # 2 FOLLOWER CLIPS THAT ARE DOING THAT, I'VE HEARD ALOT OF PEOPLE SAY IT'S THE 2 CLIP.. ITS NOT THE GLOCK 23 !!!! it's the CLIPS GLOCK KNOWS THIS .. ASK THEM FOR SOME #1 CLIPS

  • I just got a Glock 32 and I am having the sa problem. Why Glock Company has continued to sell this guns and magazines that are not properly working? Now who knows how much trouble I am about to go through to solve the problem; it is just frustrating. Does anyone knows if the problem is isolated to just Glock .357s or any other models are also having this problem? Could the bottle-neck type bullet have anything to do with it. When it fails to feed, the bullet sits in a low-forward position

  • i will buy one Glock but i dont know witch? i need that for home defense or shoot target. is the .357 so much stronger than the rest or the 9mm? many people say buy the 9mm. please help..

  • while reading one of your links a thought occured to me, which follower is closer to the 40 follower? maybe switching to a 40 follwer would help?

  • I have had the same issue in the glock model 33. I agree that the issue is either the mag or the length of feed ramp. I asked my local glock shop to get me heavier weighted mag springs. so far I've not had the issue reoccur. I am also a glock fanatic, and this has been very hard to digest. thank you for making this video.

  • thank you for taking the time to post, there are no other videos on the topic to be found.

  • @bZberetta are you having issues?

  • @jbarbaresi im having the same issue with a g33. i was blaming the sig round but after watching this vid, it might be the mag.

  • HELP ME PLEASE!!! Where can I find the #1 magazines for my Glock 32? The only ones that came with mine say #2 on them. What should I do?! Any help would be most appreciated!

  • @gatorsfan1645 are you having problems with your mags? they are not all problematic. i would shoot with them and see if you get any failures. if you do contact glock and see if they will help you out.

  • Great video. I bought a 32 a couple of months ago online while deployed. I just picked it up in the store today. I have not had time to take it to the range yet, but the followers are all # 2 so now I am really worried that they will malfunction. Can you tell me will Glock replace the magazines? Since obviously from this video they are the problem. I have not been following this issue to closely. Hopefully i will be able to get time to go to the range before i leave the states again next week.

  • @chipperlinds give glock a call, they offered to replace mine but i never got anything from them. i wasn't very persistent thought. if i were you i would try shooting the crap out of the gun before worrying about it too much. also look at my video description and you will see some links to more information on resolving the issue should you have one.

  • I have a Glock 32 and and it is my favorite hand gun that I own.I have put a couple thousand rounds trough it and never had any trouble with it at all.I am looking at the Springfield XD 357 sig or the FNH in 357 sig as my next hand gun.I have mine in a hand safe in my bed room for my home defense. The ammo I use for it is by Hornady 124gr CQ Hp.

  • I have a Gen 3 Glock 32 that had the same failure to feed issues, it would have a failure about every three to five rounds no madder what ammo I was using. I have five magazines with type two followers and they all performed the same. I resolved the issue by putting a Lone Wolf barrel in the gun. Since I started using the new barrel I have shot about 300 rounds with no failures. It looks like the feed ramp on my stock barrel was never polished correctly and the match grade one I put in is.

  • Look into the top of the "bad" magazine. I read either on glocktalk that the faulty mags have some excess plastic nubs that if filed down a bit will work 100%. Good luck.

  • @pbs357 yes, my video description has links to those threads on glocktalk.

  • I think this issue is very strange. I hear about it all over the internet. I have a Generation 3 Glock 32. The two magazines that came with it both have #2 followers in them. I haven't put too many rounds through it yet but, as shown in my videos, these followers have never once failed me. Any ideas?

I used WalMart Winchester WhiteBox 124gr fmjs.

  • In my personal opinion at this point in time I would say it's the most likely explanation that right now (in my humble opinion) you are riding the slide lock and are redundant.

  • @tmarbut please view the item description and visit the links provided. i am not riding the slide lock. if that were the case there would have been failures while using the good magazines as well.

  • @jbarbaresi I think that its the recoil spring it slides out of place and prevents the pistol from firing properly.Every time i cock the pistol and break it down the spring is about to fall off this is one of the problems i think you might be having.Im looking into replacing my spring with a steel one hopefully it works.

  • @kevlar1881 its not the recoil spring, what you are talking about is normal for all glocks and doens't affect function at all. i didn't change the recoil spring between magazines, so if that were the problem there would have been malfunctions using both magazines. i did this test by design so the only difference was the magazines, therefore proving it was at fault. if you are having failures check the video description for links to the solution.

  • I had the same problem with my g22 and it was the mag. Thing is it was not new, and has had countless rounds through it. I got two new mags problem is gone.

  • Hey I have had the same issues with 9mm followers in 10 round mags 2183-1...It sucks but I am going to call Glock next week...

  • Man I had a G 32 for about three months then some crackhead thug broke into my house and stole it but when I got it all three mags were the same and I never had any problems with it, I think what happened to yours was a fluke, but out of all 4 of the Glocks I've had the 21 sf rtf 2 is definitely my favorite. But Glocks all together are great.

  • its the mag

  • check your grip, elbow locked and hand firmly in the TANG of the pistol. i had the same mis feeds happening on my glock 22. last year front sight broke causing stoppages. now misfeeding BUT my grip was poor. Perhaps try to retest holding pistol tight with webbinf firmly in the tang, just an idea

  • @Unobtainium69 trust me its not the grip or my stance or anything else. that is why i shot back to back with the good mag and the faulty one. check the link i posted if you are interested in more information.

  • nice video. your dealer ripped you off.....mags were switched out, there is no question. Glock does not ship out mismatched mags....This raises the question of what else was done to the mags........

  • @johniac7078 i doubt it was the dealer, he is a pretty good friend and doesn't carry glock 32's or sell any spare magazines for any glocks. he had to special order the g32 for me and i picked it up from him the same day it arrived. if anything it would have been his supplier, but when i spoke to glock on the phone they didn't seem like it was unusual for a glock to come with different magazines.

  • I had two problems with my g32. One: the rear sight was the same as used on the g20 and it shot high (replaced with one for a g19). Two: winchester amunition seems to be too short and not case-sized properly. It rode low in the mag and would fail to feed on my initial load, it would then hit the ramp low and compress the load causing flyers and ftfs. I switched to my own loads and also tried gold dots and have had no trouble ever since. Very powerful round, Glocks are great.

  • dont know if you ever check this anymore but does it seem like the gun or the mag is the real problem?

  • @somerandomguy7711 its definitely the magazines. i haven't had a single issue since using the older style, and i've been told that glock has fixed the issue with all the new ones being sold.

  • i have a glock 32 with a kzg prefix, and mine came with 2 10 round mags instead 13, but no problems with feeding though

  • Don't know if this will help, but here's my contribution. I've seen something similar happen once before. The malfunctioning mag had the spring turned backwards. It was inserted incorrectly after cleaning.

  • This video is not ment to be entertaining..... Category : Entertaining XDDD rofl Well, i found it interesting, but why was it jamming? And why did u obviously know it? Didnt' get it

  • Did you ever figure it out?

  • @Nicho2177 yes, please see the links i have posted in the video description for more information. the problem is 2 little "nubs" on the inside of the feed lips. for some reason glock started molding those nubs into the magazine and the rounds are making contact with them, causing them to feed slowly and not feed properly. from what i've read glock has gone back to making their new g32 magazines with the old style followers now marked with a "357 #2" and they no longer have those nubs.

  • I think I would change the springs in the #2 &#3 mags and see what happens. I don't think the rounds are pushing up hard and or quick enough...... Or even get a couple of extra mags and test again...... That should solve the trouble

  • Thanks for posting this. I just got my Glock 32 3 days ago and put 4 boxes of rounds through it without a single jam and what do you know?... I have number 1 followers. I will make sure to pick up more mags like the ones I have :) I also thought it might be a combination of ammo brand and mags. I had a Llama 9mm that fired perfect with NATO rounds and jammed with all others until I bought an after market mag and it quit jamming... never know...

  • I looked again on youtube, and didnt find any vidoes on underlying issue that you mentioned, could you send me a link? Thanks.

  • @zyou8er see the description for this video, it is directly below the video window. in there i have copied 4 links to different forum threads which explain the issue in great detail.

  • @jbarbaresi Thanks i found the links I also went to midwayusa, and bought two new followers, they are not made by Glock. I forgot the brand name but they are white. I'll keep you posted on the results as soon as i get them in, hopefully by end of this week, later.

  • @jbarbaresi Quick question bro, are you using the easly loader, to load up the mags? I ask because, i went to range again today and it jammed on me everytime. On all those times, i used the easly loader to load, so i looked at the full mag and noticed that the ammo wasnt sitting all the way back. So, i load all 10 with my fingers and i had no jamming issues at all. I guess by using the easy loader, the ammo does not go all the way back in the mag.

  • @zyou8er no I don't use the easy loader, for me its quicker and easier just to do it the old fashioned way.

  • Just send it in for repair.

  • My new Glock 22rtf jammed on me with less then 100 shots. I guess its true, that if you want a gun, buy a reall one not a plastic one. I learned that the $549 hard way.

  • @zyou8er i don't think it has anything to do with glocks being made of "plastic". as i said in my video all mechanical devices are subject to problems. i have narrowed this issue down to being a fault of the magazine and not the gun itself. you should check the links i posted in the video comments and see if the underlying issue doesn't apply to your G22. if it does its a quick, easy, and cheap fix for you to get your glock working like a glock should. good luck.

  • @jbarbaresi Thanks for the reply. But i didnt see the links that you mentioned. Also, i checked my followers, both of them have a number 1 on them.

  • forgot to mention. I have a G23 with a factory G32 .357 bbl, and am using 13 rd mags marked ".357" Maybe the mag springs are bad, and not the followers?

  • I found the opposite to be true. Had problems feeding with #1 followers. I put the #2 followers and problems solved. I used Winchester USA 125 gr FMJ and Speer Gold Dot 125 gr. The mags eject better with the #2 followers as well.

  • Very good investigation. You should send a copy of the video to Glock along with a bill for the testing ammo.

  • I've had similar feeding issues with my G29 with a 40 cal conversion barrel.

  • send it back for repair & let them send you the new mags that they used in their test on your gun that they say works ok, what do you think of this idea. ?

  • a lot of people with this issue have already paid the $60+ dollars to send their guns back to glock. glock shoots a couple mags worth through it and sends it back saying no issues. the malfunction is not consistent enough to rely on glock to fix it and i'm not about throwing money down the drain when i already know the outcome. besides, we've already figured out what the issue is.

  • @jbarbaresi glock does not make you pay $60 for a warranty issue, only for a refurb.

  • @johniac7078 i'm not totally sure what you're talking about, but if it was something i said earlier i was probably talking about shipping charges.

  • @johniac7078 ok, no worries

  • A lifetime warrenty what has glock said about your gun ? did you try sending it back to their shop for testing with their mags etc ?

  • what about the G21 Iv'e had mine now for about the last 4 yrs with no mal functions or jamms at all & i havent heard of any problems with any of the G21 guns. ?

  • i've only personally heard of people having issues with the 357 and 40 cal glocks, namely the G32 and G23. if you haven't had any issues in 4 years i wouldn't worry about it.

  • I've had 5 jams in 300 rounds with my G26. All with Fiocci ammo. Every gun i ever owned, except my 1911 45, has jammed at least once. guns jam.

  • What is the thread over at GlockTalk that shows this issue? I tried finding it with no luck. I found some similar threads about the G32 and the KoolAid drinkers ruled it out as "LimpWristing".

  • pm sent and links posted in video comments for anyone else who is interested.

  • Nice, yea I'm going to read into it.

    Thanks for the info.

  • When you get a misfire, keep your firearm pointed down range for 30 seconds. It mat have a delayed affect and the primer may go off.

  • if you train to do that, good for you. i reacted on instinct because i train to perform immediate and remedial action when a malfunction occurs so it is second nature in a combat situation.

  • Good job..thanks for doing this.

  • there have been a lot of us tossing around different ideas on various online forums. we may have narrowed it down to the specific problem but I need to test it out before being sure. the issue may not be caused by the follower itself, but by a change glock made to the magazine shell when they changed the follower design. I'll make another video if we figure out that's the problem.

  • Excellent video. Where do you get the #1 mags?

  • unfortunately glock doesn't make the #1 followers any longer so wherever you can find them pick them up. cdnninvestments was having a sale on LE marked G32 mags for $14.99, not sure if they still have any or not but those come with the old follower design.

  • Clear and concise. Nice recoil control!

  • Yes, it's more than clear that the issue is related to the magazine.

In my case it must be something else. I tried 6 different magazines, 5 older ones and a brand new one (with different numbers on the follower of course). I get the same FTF's with all of them.

  • Do you know if this issue only pertains to the G32, I was considering the G33 sub-compact and well after watching your video I am going to hold off and consider the G27 instead. Great video thank you for posting. I truly belive it has "everything" to do with the magazine and nothing with the pistol. As for me Glock's are flawless.

    5/5

  • i don't know of any specific g33 owners who have experienced this issue, but if you are worried about it I think its worth doing the research to find out. I would take a 357 SIG for self defense over a .40 any day of the week.

  • Jeremy,

great video...SAME exact problem i was having with NUMBER TWO FOLLOWERS

  • i wish you still had one of your G32's so we could test another follower in there and see if you still had any issues.
