  • A pro-choice "assault":

A small group of people yelling their opinion (a bit too loud perhaps)

    A pro-life assault:

Blowing up clinics and gunning down physicians

    lol

  • How incredibly pathetic of those students. Just yell angry illogical slogans and don't bother understanding someone's position while you silence them. That's how rational people behave!

  • GOTTA SAY, THOSE PEOPLE CHANTING ANNOYINGLY SEEM RATHER IMMATURE AND APPEAR TO BE SCREECHING ANGRY UNEDUCATED NONSENSE KIDS. THEY REALLY MADE THEIR SIDE OF THE DEBATE LOOK REALLLLLY BAD. WHAT MORONS. MO-RONS. YUUUP. :D

  • They can book a room THEMSELVES and chant like that. Disrupting someone else's pre-booked event, however, is unlawful. I asked in the Comments section of Part 2 why the presenters even acknowledged them. They had the mikes, projector and crowd support.

One more point; what kind of geek, or desperate-to-get-laid chump must the GUY be to act all, "Hey! Give the ladies their rights, darn it!" in this situation? One glance makes it clear he ain't on the hockey or football teams. I guess that's it.

  • i could see if this was at a state college or university but it was at St. Mary's. if u dont agree with the church's stance dont go to a church school or university. pro choice activists must remember that if they puch hard enough eventually the greater populace will puch back.

  • this made me laugh I support those whose disrupted the presentation.

  • Morgantaller really did a number on Canadian intelligence didn't he. These women and that one guy are completely ignorant.

They call it hate speech, when it is in no way hate speech. They said it is racist and sexist, how? Is abortion secluded to one race? No it isn't. When pro-life women spread the message is it sexist?

These protesters are actually being sexist.

  • the child(or fetus, what ever term) didint ask to be created, or be killed, cant deal with raiseing him/her than there is people who are willing to look after him/her. sex education is needed, bring a person up to know know about the consquenses.

  • it isint all about riligion, it useually about people who are ignorent about the use of contraception, and if it dont work or you dont use it it isint an accident, if your old enough to sleep with someone(bar rape or other extreme circumstances) then relise that you are old enough to deal with the circumstances,

  • Referring to 25 to 40 percent of Western women as murders is inciteful speech that merits censoring. By the way, if someone on my side is adovating terrorism against religious persons or institutions, the same principles apply.

I believe religion is psychologically destructive but I don't seek to restrict anyones faith. If I may give advice to you it would be living in a pluralistic society, there are many individuals who don't share your worldview.

  • @ydarg1976

Actually censorship is wrong. People have to have self control if they hear something they don't agree with. Freedom of speech is one of the most important freedoms we have, and it is essential in order to uphold our way of life. As long as a person's speech does not in some way violate the rights of others it is okay. If you cannot protect everyone's rights then you cannot protect anyone's rights.

  • If I believed that a pregnancy termination was the taking of human life, I would be on the forefront of promoting policies that helped prevent unwanted pregnancies among sexually active women. Not by criminalizing women and their doctors which is not an effective public health strategy.

  • No One should be in fear of ProLIfe ppl except for one reason, and that is we are going to win this battle not by violence but by our sheer will power and because we are fighting with the truth on our side.

  • HILLBILLYPOWER.. I am afraid to ask but have you forgotten why we fight for the unborn? It is to preserve human life and fight for the dignity of their lives If you go around being violent to those who are evil( even ppl who kill babies) it makes you no different from them! All human life is sacred.

  • I wonder what would they have to say if their parents had aborted them. So ignorant

  • What prolifers have been murdered for expressing their views? Name calling and pushing and shoving is not terrorism.

Sorry, but "Silent Scream" is inaccurate proproganda. A fetus is not aware of its senses untill at least well into the second trimester.

If you think these disrupters in the video showed bad manners, then what do you think about protests outside womens clinics where employees and patient are harassed at a very emotional time?

  • @ydarg1976 The abortion violence website shows that hundreds of pro-lifers have been killed for being pro-life, where as there have been MAYBE 17 or so deaths to pro-choicers for being pro-choice.

Also, the top medical texts & experts will tell you that the sensory receptors in the brain are active within the first six weeks of development. If someone who exhibits sensory function isn't self-aware, then I really don't know what is.

  • Shows how utterly ridulous these feminist fanatics are with their fetal-phobic bigotry. Apparently whites can't condemn slavery and Gentiles may not comment on the Holocaust either? What is hate speech? Condemning the dismemberment of innocent people or terrorizing a peaceful meeting with feminist propaganda that they've bought into and imposing their opinion on others? How intolerant of these raging dogma-driven students.

  • The 1 in a milion pro-life nutcases who do something crazy make front line headlines by the abortion loving media, but the pro-abortionists who vandalize/terrorize people and property do not make the news. Historically, when censorship occurs, violence will increase. Isn't the university to be a place of open-debate? Apparently not. I only wish these people were able and willing to read something other than their feminist propaganda.

  • Maybe in Canada the situation is different than that of the states. I don't hold you responsibile for the radical anti abortionists action but I do hold the prolife community accountable for the inflammatory rhetoric that contributued to the violent climate which plagues abortion clinics in the US. What pro choicers have bombed, vandalized, threatened and murdered their ideological opponents. Name calling on our side doesn't remotely compare to what we have dealt with.

  • what is good for the goose is good for the gander. It is too bad that the prochoice side chose this speaker to disrupt. However, when people feel under siege, they often tend to lash out at the target of most convience.

I hope my response sheds light on this situation.

  • "but I would generally justify it do to the violence actions which often stem from it."

Don't you think that a person who thinks that thousands of babies are being killed everyday would be justified rather then a person who is offended by someone's opinion. I think you have to take into consideration what each side is fighting for and make that statement a little more carefully. (c0nt)

  • ydarg1976...

I have attended dozens of pro-life demonstrations, and have only seen aggressive behavior from pro-'choice' counter-protesters, never from pro-lifers.

You have to wonder why the pro-choice group would feel like they were 'under siege' from such a respectful presentation. Is the idea that the unborn are human beings, and therefore deserving of respect and protection really that horrible, or does it simply shed light on something they would rather not talk about ?

  • I am generally libertarian on free speech matters. I don't know of the censorship case you refer to, but I would generally justify it do to the violence actions which often stem from it. After all, one can't yell fire in a crowded movie theater.

I speak from the experience of someone living in the US. I believe Canadians to hold more progressive views on choice issues.

It is wrong to subject violence and harrassment to those expressing a point of view.

    The disruptors mentality was

    (Cont.)

  • I certainly don't hold you personally responsibile for all the actions of every self described prolifer. However, are you not aware of right to lifers recording license plates of women entering medical facilities where abortions are performed? Or the harassment of constructuion employees who build family planning clinics? How about the shrill rhetoric women face at Planned Parenthood on a constant basis? Or worse, the stalkings, threats, bombiing and murder of providers?

    (cont).

  • Fascists in action.

  • as a prochoice citizen i find the speaker to be sensibile and rational and the wrong target for the shoutdown. However, when compared to murders, arson and generalized TERRORISM suffered against the pro choice community, this reaction is rather tame. It is almost always our side on the receiving end of violent actions. I think over all, the pro choice community has showed great restraint given the circumstances.

  • Give me examples of when your side is on the recieving end of organized violence and cencorship. I can give you examples all across canada of pro-life students being harrassed and violently in most cases.

  • Restraint? The proabortion community has shown absolutely no restraint at all, pushing its agenda/propaganda in its mad rush for cash (blood money) on immigrants (high percentage of abortions performed upon minorities) and wiping its hands clean from women who have been hurt by abortion (and there are millions). See "Silent Scream", read "Prolife Answers to Prochoice Questions" and please know that many more prolife people have died than proabortion people for their views.

  • I am sure you know all about the issue and you know why you are a supporter of abortion right? Then explain it (ydarg1976)

Do you know what exactly you are jumping up and standing up for?

Are you sure that Silent Scream is propaganda? If so, what if it wasn't would you change your mind on the whole issue?

  • And if you knew , as the whole scientific community knows, that every concieved baby is a human being, would you fight for their right to live? And say you did know and believe that hundreds of thousands of babies are being killed every year would you not do what ever is in your powere to do to fight for their lives? And when your freedom to talk and spread the truth about abortion is being slowly denied in this so called "free society of Canada" would you not call it "terroism"?

  • So first of all, Buott sure got fat (the guy protester).

Second of all, what the hell? How can someone call themself pro-choice and then hate someone for having a different opinion? Being pro-life is a CHOICE. I can't believe how hypocritical they are in their chants. In addition, what do they think they are accomplishing by doing this anyway? If you disagree with someone, voice it in a respectful manner, don't interrupt and yell at them.

  • they do not respond because they do not want to look like a bunch of blubbering baffoons like the morons above them.

  • Why doesn't anyone in the audience respond? It is so eerie...

  • I'm kinda questioning that male protester's persuasion too!

  • How come it's always the ugliest women who would have trouble getting pregnant with a twelve pack and a fifth of jack are so vocal about abortion rights?

  • I think they are immune to it.

  • At what point do these screamers hear their own hypocrisy?
