Typhon is a son of Gaia, yes, but not of Uranus. His father is Tartarus. What a lot of modern "sources" - GoW and PJ&O - leave out is that there is a much older and far more powerful caste of gods: The Protogenoi, who respectively embody all that the world and the heavens are. The Titans came from them, and the Olympians from them. Even when the Titans were cast down, the Protogenoi remained all-powerful, as they hold dominion over all things because they ARE all things.

@SkullCapper No. Typhon was trapped under Mount Etna, by Zeus in the first Great War. This is pretty much a "what if" situation, if there was a small cavern near his head. The rest of his body would still be trapped under millions of tons of dirt. This, however is a false scene, as when Zeus trapped Typhon, he was put to sleep. This was the Ancient Greek's way of explaining what was happening when the mountain erupted (Mount Etna is a Volcano). When it erupted, Typons was supposedly stirring

@PisYCaca1 Woudn't help. All Monsters, God, and Titans in greek mythology are immortal. When Monsters "die" they reforge themselves in Tartarus, and freely leave. God's and Titans, can be chopped up, and such, but will always remain, as a concious mind, and the ability to reform.

@lolbitchwhut Rick Riordan invented that to explain why monsters return. In actual Greek mythology gods cannot die period and once a monster dies it dies. Hell, he invented a lot of shit for his books. Such as he combined two gods for Kronos: the Protogenoi of Time, Chronos, and the Titan of the Harvest, Cronus/Kronus. Both are very different entities mythologically.

The area at 1:40 is of course where you could have just killed your foes for as long as you liked before melting the ice off the chests..for farming. As you said, you opted out of this.
