  • What about using compost? Compost disolve very easy with water... do you think is a good idea?

  • I am not sure if I was a hoarder lol !! But it was getting a little out of line with the amount of plants I had and the space I was living in. I took plants to work also then I still had too many so I have actually given away a few plants and at first I thought I would have anixety about letting the plants go .. but it was a nice way to give gifts. So now I have plenty of plants still but not as much as I had before and I am able to take care of the plants I have. Thank you for the info

  • Thanks for this video. The hording part hit me. I think some of the junipers I have are going to be part of my landscape as well.

  • Hi, I understand. It just hit me that I wasn't paying as much attention to my favorite bonsai as I did in the past because of all my new bonsai. Always room for improvement and corrections. Jerry

  • My mom loves the show Hoarders. When she asks me to go on walks around town with her we glance through peoples windows and she declares them a hoarder or not. You have a passion for what you do, not an irrational insecurity of being without them.

  • Hi, That's a very interesting way of interpreting things. As I think about what you and others have said, I tend to agree with you. Sometimes it may be wise to curb your passions so they don't run away with you. I did have 18 tropical fish tanks at one time, but about 15 of them were small one gallon affairs for Killi Fish (A kind of pup fish that lives in ponds that dry up. They lay eggs that dry and start to hatch when the rains come again. You can send the eggs in the mail). Thanks. J.

  • we have some stuff thats just like that superthrive at our families gardencenter. I forget its name but it come in the same kind of bottle. Ill have to mention this method to the bonsai group.

  • Hi, It's a simple but very effective method. Thanks for writing. Jerry

  • Great video. I never thought of fertilizing like that :) Maybe I'll give it a shot. Also, on the topic of hoarding: I don't think you're in the same catagory as these animal hoarders. I've seen the show and they seem to be unaware about their problem. It's a bit more of a mental disorder. Also, plants don't overrun your house and leave a mess all over the place.

  • Hi, That's a kind way of looking at it, and a logical way for me to justify it. Perhsaps I was a boarderline hoarder. I kind of like the idea of having a small collection of really nicely cared for bonsai. But, I have always had a collecting bug. But how many Fukien Teas do I really need? Thanks! Jerry
