@TheInbornMechanics I think it very much depends where you are coming from. In terms of genre anyway. I've always been a big prog metal fan, so this album is just musical bliss for me. I did enjoy SYL, but i preferred Devin's older solo albums at the time. I don't know. To each and his own i guess.

And seriously, you people complaining about the content of the lyrics are not judging it in the right way.

The entire Devin Townsend Project is a concept of 4 albums. Devin's explained that the content and tone of the albums elude to some 'over arching' story. This album is, what I think he described, as the decronstruction of his former expression.

@VitalSigns1 What you fail to realize is that Devin has always had a sense of humor when it came to his music, especially with his heavy work. As for this track, it's setting you up for the concept of the album.

He had an orchestra recorded for this album and a shitload of special guests. If that's not serious, I don't know what is.
