What Al1 did was that he didn't bury the money, he possibly just retrieved the money anyway because he was very lonely. I suspect that Fortress came to that house and Al1 saw him and he wasn't the girl or guy he was looking for and maybe he killed Fortress.

Ok, there are lots of rumors and stuff but here is the most logical explination:

Al1 advertised the pictures of him burrying the money, and if you look closley at the shovel that he is using, it is the same one that Fortress used in his last video. However, the dead body found could be Fortress/Al1 who could have killed themselves for some reason, or it could just be a mystery for years to come

I have to give the guy props for going to such elaborate lengths just for a short film, especially one almost guaranteed to provoke people to go looking for the evidence. The Al1 site is there, here's the youtube videos, and I looked at google maps and the house-shaped field is there (52.795003,-4.743183 it's green now). It's fake, though, the iMDb page for the film lists a voice actor credit for "Fortress". It's a good story though and a good cautionary tale, fits with the Pardoner's Tale well.

The story is real, and if you follow the story then you'll see that either Fortress got the money (Not this fortress...) and killed whomever was fucking with him. Or, Fortress was murdered.
