I sear to god when I first saw this video back in the day, I thought it was the trailer to Modern Warfare 2 until the Air force thing at the end came up.
so just wandering im trying to join the the big USAF as a pj and i know its going to bust my balls but is that a regular thing to be able to use the night and thermal vision. if so ill bust my balls a million times to become a pj
@SquashAndMammoth Yes of course they have, but the way it is portrayed is science fiction. The best we can do in terms of Hud goggles are miniature screens(google RECON MOD) and no transparent overlays yet( but that should only take maybe another decade). In terms of Night and Thermal vision the ENVG is currently the best thing available, but that is still far from being integrated into a regular pair of goggles.
@elfantasticolorenzo Well no. But they just emphasize that they have the REAL technology that is almost "science fiction." Really, it is just the appeal to vanity that is characterized in recruiting commercials. But cool stuff still (~_o)
>>Two moons
>>Not science fiction
What aren't we being told??

Might as well make a freaking science fiction movie all about joining the Air Force.

I'd like some comments from an actual CSAR pilot or para. How does this compare to "actual" Air Force?

the still shot with the moon in the background with 3 of the soldiers is a live background for PS3.

If you look closely there are laser beams in the background. Clearly not real. Still a nice ad, though.

That visual interface in the night vision/thermal goggles can't be real. Not at this point.

The first segment is the science fiction part, then it shows a little of the real thing.
