Nice! But there is one thing that might need a little more info:

The current cathedral is the third that has been built on that spot (in the 15th century, if I'm not mistaken), the first one goes back to the 8th century. "Mimigernaford" (as the new city of Münster was named back then) was founded in the year 793!

Bin auch aus Muenster und lebe jetzt in New Jersey. Ich vermisse meine Geburtsstadt natuerlich hier und da, und versuche sie so oft als moeglich zu besuchen. Ich muss sagen das mir ein paar Traenen liefen als ich all diese Beitraege angesehen hatte.

Das einzige was mir nicht so gefiel war das einige Szenen zu kurz geraten waren, man konnte nicht viel sehen an einigen Stellen, aber nu ja...

The city the church and the castle are beautiful. I would love to see it but the stations look ugly and what it is with the big balls, doesnt make any sense. Then again modern "art" never did to me.

a little Münster-vocabulary:

Münster = Monasteria (the old name from Münster) = means church

Aasee = Aa = is a old Germanic word for "water"

Der Name Münster hat sich aus dem Wort "monasterium" entwickelt, was Kloster bedeutet, nicht Kirche, ecclesia.

Münster wurde nämlich als Kloster gegründet, drumherum entstand im Laufe der Zeit die Stadt.

I travelled around Europe for two years and had a gorgeous german girlfriend studying in Munster. We said our final good bye at the train station. Very sad! This bought back many lovely memeories though of my time there. Thank you.
