  • Thanks for putting this out in a form that we can share to help widen the circle of those who understand what this form of Myofascial Release is about. Having many different ways to educate is truly helpful.

  • Quality video with insightful information for my clients and family. I plan to purchase the entire DVD and play it in my clinic. It is very seldom that you have the privelege of viewing the man behind the movement. Thank you Rich and John for upgrading the quality of resources available on the internet. Looking forward to getting treated by this interesting approach.

  • Great Information! Thanks for posting it. Eagerly looking forward to more clips about John F Barnes, Myofascial Release.

  • Great to see this open to a wide audience! Incredible work.

  • Thanks Richard and John

  • It works. Effective, Efficient and Expotentially. Getting down to and through the layer s of the fascia offers anyone benfits and results especially when they have been told there is nothing more that can be done for a patient. Or, popular massage, manual therapy, chiropractic and medications fall short of their promises.

John F Barnes, is "light years" ahead of the majority and he does it with his bare hands!

  • Love this clip Richard! Thank you for including John's comment, "Helping people, wasn't that the idea?" That's what Myofascial Release as John teaches it is all about... authentic, effective, long-term help. This clip may be the spark for clients/patients to find the help they need.

  • Thanks so much for getting this on here Richard - it will be a great asset to my patients, and anyone interested in learning more about John's method of MFR!

    Mike

  • @mljj60 Thanks for the feedback! I'm glad that it will be helpful for your patients.

How is this different from Rolfing therapy ?

  • @LegPains Rolfing is one of the older forms of myofascial release. The main difference is that John Barnes Myofascial release does not force the tissue but only moves to the non elastic barrier. The other difference is that John Barnes myofascial release maintains a long hold (at least 2 - 5 minutes) and this makes the change in the tissue last longer.

I had a positive experience with Rolfing, but I think myofascial release is more effective.

  • Fab video.. lots of great info.... thanks..

  • @MyofascialReleaseUK You are very welcome!!
